Elliot comes from some kind of money. His dad was some San Francisco lawyer, not sure about his mom; but he's shown that he is somewhat well-off. He's one of those insanely fucked up DEI hires that Google scooped up back in the day when DEI hiring was becoming a thing. He networked with other sick-in-the-head trannies and LGBT allies at google, that then allowed him further access to meet other trannies and other people in various positions of tech. Once he was cut from Google, he joined Honeycomb which is nothing but DEI tranny tier corporate runoff hires that have no real direction or motive.
He then married yet another sick-in-the-head tech tranny from Australia that also comes from money. Now he has dual citizenship between Canada and Australia and enough money to annoy people he doesn't like.

Elliot appeals to the weird awkward tech trannies and tranny chasers that enjoy the idea of "Nobody being mean on the internet anymore" even if that means censoring everyone and becoming the fascists they claim to despise.
