Not sure how serious you are, but if you aren't, I need to point out that I agree with you in a semi-serious way.
Trump needs to salt the Earth ASAP. Firing all of these superfluous Government workers and nothing more will just result in the next Democrat President rehiring them with backpay.
The process of fixing everything Trump fucks up has to be made difficult and complicated, something that will take decades rather than months.
That's four years away. I doubt enough of them have sufficient savings to ride out the four years in comfort so many will likely be forced to do some soul searching, reaching out to friends and family they previously spurned, having to compete with illegals for any job, or just doing the Canadian Medical Special.

LOL really, has Trump really ever driven himself any? For a long time?
He drives a golf cart all the time. This shouldn't be much different.

Likely not since the 1990s.

"McDonalds fries could be here," he thought. "I've never been to this gas station before. McDonalds could be anywhere." The warm wind felt good against his pink shirt. "I LOVE FRIES!" he thought. His wallet swelled in his pocket and the 55 cents of diet coke circulated through his incredible veins, the best veins that nobody else has, and washed away his fear of having only one scoop. "With gold, you can go anywhere you want. Even the Whitehouse," he said to himself aloud.

looks like jake sullivan is getting rewarded for the damage he's done. how nice!
Giving Sullivan a seat named for Kissinger is a fucking insult to foreign relations. Whatever you think of Kissinger, the man was actually good at his job.

You know, I'm starting to think Trump is actually serious about annexing Canada. As much as I don't like the idea of Canadian voters, given Canada's shit record on foreign drug gangs and Chinese infiltration into their government, we may have to absorb everything at the very least to the west of Ontario just for our own national security. The Pacific Ocean is one of our great defensive walls, we cannot allow the tiny dicked ching chongs to control Vancouver and BC. Nor can we allow Canada's idiot government to turn their joke of a country into New Bharat.

Think of it like a school term where at the end of the term, you go on "summer vacation". Trudeau sent everyone home for vacation and they don't officially start the "new term" until March 24th so they can't do any legislative duties until then. That includes dealing with Trump tariffs at the federal level. Some have thought the prorogue was done to give Trudeau's party more time to figure out who will replace him.
People thought that because Trudeau SAID IT HIMSELF.

Some people in here would rather eat a 12 Gauge than admit Trump is not what he's cracked up to be and is basically allowing Elon to ride him into the sunset.
it's tricky gauging why someone is upset with Trump in this thread. is it because they're a useless person who depends on gibs from the federal government angry he's cutting back huge amounts of wasted money on federal agencies, or are they angry because Trump hasn't declared himself Orange Fuhrer of America and bulldozed every jew and synagogue into the ocean?

it could be either one in equal measure

I'm surprised this wasn't on The Hill. Clock me if this already got posted. It's not even on Fox News and it's not the top story on CNN: "Ukraine agrees to proposal for ceasefire with Russia as US restores aid and intel sharing" (archive).
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia CNN —

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Tuesday that Ukraine had accepted a 30-day ceasefire proposed by the United States, following critical peace talks between US and Ukrainian officials in Saudi Arabia.

The ceasefire proposal accepted by Ukraine covers the entire front line of the fighting with Russia, not just the air and sea, Zelensky said after the more than eight-hour long meeting.

“Ukraine accepts this proposal, we consider it positive, we are ready to take such a step, and the United States of America must convince Russia to do so,” Zelensky said, adding that the ceasefire would start the moment Moscow agrees to it.

The United States said in a joint statement with Ukraine following the meeting in Jeddah that it would “immediately lift the pause on intelligence sharing and resume security assistance to Ukraine.” A Ukrainian official confirmed on Tuesday that US security assistance to Ukraine had resumed.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said immediately after the meeting that the onus is now on Russia to take steps to end the war. “We hope that they’ll say yes, that they’ll say yes to peace. The ball is now in their court,” he said of the Russians.

US President Donald Trump later welcomed the news and vowed to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin about the plan, potentially this week.

The developments will be a huge relief for Kyiv after the extraordinarily public blowup between Trump and Ukraine’s leader less than two weeks ago.

Tuesday’s talks occurred at a crucial time in the war, as Moscow’s forces continue to advance in the Kursk region of Russia – where Ukraine launched a shock incursion in August – threatening Kyiv’s sole territorial bargaining counter.

The US-Ukraine joint statement emphasized that Kyiv had “expressed readiness to accept the US proposal to enact an immediate, interim 30-day ceasefire, which can be extended by mutual agreement of the parties, and which is subject to acceptance and concurrent implementation by the Russian Federation.”

“The United States will communicate to Russia that Russian reciprocity is the key to achieving peace,” it said.

Zelensky said Ukraine’s proposals for the ceasefire had included “silence” in the sky and at sea, the release of Ukrainian prisoners “to establish confidence in this whole situation,” and the return of Ukrainian children from Russia.

The two sides also agreed to conclude a rare minerals deal “as soon as possible” to expand Ukraine’s economy and guarantee the country’s long-term security.

The Ukrainian delegation, which did not include Zelensky, met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz. Both Rubio and Waltz attended direct talks with Russia last month.
Saudi helped broker a deal, Trump is turning the intel sharing back on, Zelenskyy is back at the table, and now - as I read this - Trump is going to put the pressure on Putin. I guess he wanted to wrangle Zelenskyy first. As Rubio said in the article: the ball is now in Russia's court. It also sounds like the Ukrainians hashed it out with Rubio sans Zelenskyy.

Please, for the love of God, do not start commenting on whether Putin or Zelenskyy is a cooler dude, or else @Useful_Mistake will lock the thread again and destroy any offenders. Go to the relevant threads for that, where conversation abounds. This is relevant to US politics because Trump secured an important step in ending the war and, interesting enough, he's continuing to buddy-buddy with the Saudis for brokering peace deals. Democrats BTFO with their "Trump is Putin's cock-holster" narrative. The rare minerals deal is also back on.

Who said anything about letting them vote? Or is it voot?
I mean, territories would be the obvious solution. These are people who keep voting for a party who lets Fidel Castro's spiritually gay bastard son run everything. A man who also lost a cushy teaching job at a prestigious private school because he was a bit too friendly with the female student's bodies.

What the hell are you talking about, bro? Genocides are relatively common in history and, while they have failed many times, there have been many successful genocides before. The reason we care so much about the Nazis it's cause the media tells us to care, simple as that. There is nothing special about the holocaust.
Since you are retarded as shit and need to be forcibly sterilized to keep you from churning retarded mini mes who eat shit out of the toilet and call it Christmas Candy, Ill spell it out for you.

The Holocaust was the first industrial genocide post Industrial Revolution and Hitler racked up the high score for killing Jews via the Holocaust and came the closest anyone ever came of killing all the Jews in Europe....

The scale and scope was so great PLUS the Nazis leaving so much God damn evidence behind, that Europe couldn't sweep it under the rug like they normally do with pogroms against Jews. So it led to a global reckoning on the issue of Antisemitism and made it utterly unacceptable and led to Israel's creation at long last.

THAT IS WHY IT IS A BIG DEAL

Trump has proclaimed March to be Irish-American Heritage Month.

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

A PROCLAMATION

Irish Americans have played a crucial role in our great American story — courageously overcoming adversity and hardship to embolden our culture, enliven our spirit, and fortify our way of life. This Irish-American Heritage Month, we commemorate the special bond of friendship between the United States and Ireland — and we honor the extraordinary contributions of Irish-American citizens past and present.

During the 19th and 20th centuries, millions of Irish immigrants departed the rolling countryside of the Emerald Isle for the bustling cities of Boston, Chicago, and New York — leaving behind their homeland and embarking on a daring journey across the Atlantic in hopes of a new frontier of opportunity and a better future for their families. Since then, Irish Americans have fought for our freedom on the battlefield, served in our halls of government, and pioneered legendary businesses ‑- leaving a lasting mark on their communities and our national identity.

The United States and Ireland also enjoy a long friendship strengthened by economic ties, a shared commitment to democracy, and the timeless values of faith, family, and freedom. As my Administration works to correct trade imbalances with the European Union, our historic relationship with Ireland presents an opportunity to advance fairer trade policies and stronger investment opportunities that benefit both nations.

To this day, Irish Americans are known as some of the toughest, most driven, and most devoted people on the face of the Earth. Their faith in God, love of family, and indelible commitment to our national promise continue to inspire citizens all across our country. This Irish-American Heritage Month, we salute the undying resilience and resolve of the Irish-American community, pay tribute to their tremendous achievements, and pledge to forge a future that strengthens our shared values, deepens our traditions, and restores America as one glorious Nation under God.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 2025 as Irish-American Heritage Month. I call upon all Americans to celebrate the achievements of Irish Americans and their contributions to our Nation with appropriate ceremonies, activities, and programs.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this sixth day of March, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-five, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-ninth.

DONALD J. TRUMP
