The biggest irony about Razorfist pretending to be Christian is that it ironically reveals how much of a grifter he is. He says he's Christian, yet he hasn't abandoned a lot of the ideology from his edgy agnostic/atheist days and still shills for the extreme individualism/selfishness that Ayn Rand preached.

Such a message would be more appreciated if it came from someone like, say, Aaron Clarey. An open agnostic who doesn't believe in anything other than being anti-left and being pro-capitalist, hence his website name, "Captain Capitalism". Ol' Cappy is at least honest enough to say that, despite growing up as the son of a pastor, he doesn't believe in the religion. He doesn't believe in Christ's message of selflessness, he doesn't believe in the supernatural, he doesn't give a shit about the tenets or doctrines of the faith. So when a guy like that condemns the idea of charity, it makes sense, since part of his character was the rejection of the religious ideal; he's secular-right, meaning that while he agrees with the Right on certain things, he openly does not agree with religion.

Meanwhile, you have Razorfist here, pretending to be religious and defending a fellow Christian Youtuber from those damn dirty gooners and their eastern games. Still not changing his opinion on selfishness being a virtue. Voting and shilling for a guy who decimated the nation's ability to help the poor while feeding all that money to the richest guy in the world. Razor can claim to be Christian in open daylight only in such a world where half the so-called "Christians" don't actually follow what Christ preaches. The godless secularists in the EU who have socialized healthcare and welfare up the ass is getting closer to Heaven than guys like Razorfist.

I can at least respect Aaron Clarey over DP Harris in that, at least Clarey admits that he doesn't give a fuck about God or the Faith. He's a selfish cunt, but at least he's honest about it, and that honesty makes him more respectable than Danny-boy pretending to be a Christian while preaching the values of selfishness as a virtue from the Gospel of Ayn Rand. Meanwhile, when it comes to people doing God's will, I wouldn't be surprised if I see France's Emmanuel Macron, Germany's Olaf Scholz, or Britain's Keir Starmer going to the pearly gates before old Danny-boy.

It just doesn't work either way. From a worldly perspective, an honest atheist/agnostic fits better with the Randian philosophy and is more honest and respectable, while from the heavenly perspective, those doing good for the least of their brothers will get to heaven faster than guys like Razor who support politicians who make life hard for the poor.

I mean, yes. Razor is too stupid to realise - or more likely, too disingenuous to admit it - that things have moved on a bit from when he mentally stagnated in the 80's. You didn't exactly have the choice of streaming a Michael Jackson song in the 80s or just listening to it on Spotify, you either had to record it from when it played on the radio or buy the CD so sales would've been higher by default. Couldn't find the exact Taylor sales from a quick search; he could be pulling shit out of his ass.

Taylor Swift is so fucking popular that random bums I meet on the street know who she is and her music. People barely give a damn about Michael Jackson nowadays outside of people who are music historians/music buffs. When most people talk about Michael Jackson, the first thoughts that pop in their mind are not his excellent music and videos, but the fact that he became white or his scandal with diddling kids. Meanwhile, I've seen folks on the street talk about Taylor Swift or sing her songs.

Razor's entire career is denying the fact that the world had moved on from the time he liked. He's basically stuck in that eternal loop of thinking that people still like what he likes, hence why people liking anime, JRPGs, Kojima games, From Software games, or casual RPGs pisses him off A LOT. It reminds him that the stuff he likes have passed on in popularity, and he just can't take that. You'd expect that kind of behavior from a bratty teen, but Razor is nearing forty and still acting like one.

Hell, as a fan of some game series like Halo, Starcraft, Mass Effect, I'm more than content with them being relics. At least they can have some rest for a while and not get monkeyed around by some sexually-frustrated twat with a mental defect, or some cold, heartless businessman looking for a quick way to buy another yacht. The time I loved has come and gone, the world we live in is completely different, and the most I can do is preserve the good old days in my heart and mind, or play those old games and remind myself of those good times. Facing the future with certitude and acceptance is a lot better than eternally seething at the fact that your favorite decade came and went. But don't tell Razorfist that, or he might just go bananas on you.

Everything this guy does is for image. He is a true hipster at heart. Being a christian became counter-culture for him due to the people he opposes politically being atheist. Just watch a livestream of his. Does he practice any gospel principals ? No of course not. He constantly chastizes people for their opinions, arrogantly declares his superority over others due to his idolartry being better than their idolartry. This guy has been turbomaxxing Pride and Wrath (along with lust according to his latina ex) for like 15 years online. He talks about religion on his live streams like he is reading over a movie summary. Its all information to him. All lore. He has no connection to the faith that underpins all that church history he can regurgitate on stream. It's all just another proverbial leather jacket for him to put on and feel cool and other himself from the people he can't let go his hatred of.

It basically shows how the grifter culture has destroyed a lot of the honest expressions of faith online. Every time you see a Christian YT personality, you have to check his history to see if he's a grifter or not. It kind of damages that whole scene of internet televangelism when you know half these people are kooks.

This is the state of Christianity in the year of Our Lord, 2025. Filled to the brim with Pharisees and grifters alike. We've got grifters like Razorfist and Matt Walsh. That bodes ill for new converts, as they could easily be misled by such grifters and they might burn out from the faith.

People love Taylor Swift and her music all over. Kendrick Lamar too. How do I know? Boomers on Facebook complain about how their music isn't real music. If kids were listening to "The Other Promise" from Kingdom Hearts as much as they did Swift those same boomers would be calling my favorite song "Not Real Msuic." All that phrase means to me these days is people like something more than your stuff and that annoys you.

So basically, Razorfist is a boomer in Gen X skin. Makes a lot of sense. Suddenly, it explains his politics, attitude, and taste rather easily. Boomer adults made DnD back in the 80s. Boomers see a lot of new entertainment, especially foreign entertainment, as a joke. Some boomer right-wingers tend to entertain a lot of fringe beliefs moreso than Gen X or millennial right-wingers; especially with Danny-boy identifying more with Barry Goldwater than any of the pre-Trump Neocon Republicans. And of course, boomer religious people started the Satanic Panic back in the 80s. Razorfist denying said panic's existence is him covering for said religious boomers, whether he knows it or not.

Pretty much this. Hence, he's created this bubble where he pretends French comics are SUPER popular and sells just as well if not more than manga. His obsession with noir and old western films, despite those genres probably not making a return anytime soon. I don't care for Taylor Swift, but I won't deny she's imensely popular, she's a billionaire for a reason. But Razor's hatred for someone or something just clouds his judgment completely to the point where he just becomes delusional and tries to convince people of his constructed worldview being true.

The dude forgot that the fucking frog-eaters have a sweet tooth for manga and anime. He also forgot that Westerns died out for the same reasons the MCU is dying now: oversaturation of the market and declining interest. I'd wager that the same thing happened to Noir films.

Razor hating on Taylor Swift while worshiping Michael Jackson really is just the height of stupid. I mean, it could just come down to taste, but Swift's popularity is such that even today's kids sing her songs and love her for her performance. I suppose it reminds Razorfist of the fact that favorites have become old news, and something else is bringing kids over to music.

Don't tell him about how manga and anime are popular with today's youth. I've seen kids who don't know Batman's real name, but they can talk your ears off for hours about something like the Uchiha Clan's history from Naruto and why Sasuke wants to kill Itachi. That would make Razorfist super-pissed, that the people set to inherit the world of tomorrow barely gives a shit about western superheroes outside of aesthetics, but they're practically scholars when it comes to manga and anime lore. They make Warhammer 40K nerds and Star Wars nerds look like noobs in comparison.

Michael Jackson's videos were being shown on fucking primetime network television at one point. Taylor's Swift's fanbase is mostly annoying teenage and twenty-something girls. Michael Jackson has fans of every generation some of whom were infants or toddlers when he died. There are levels to this, and Taylor Swift is nowhere near MJ's level of popularity.

It depends. Like I said, most people today, when you say the name "Michael Jackson", they don't remember his excellent music or his smooth dance moves. They mostly remember the scandals about him. Danny-boy even leapt to his defense because a lot of the talk around Jackson was about his scandals. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift isn't that controversial when it comes to music; she's the "safe" kind of product that the corpos can sell to teens and kids without fearing the parents' backlash. And the fact is, the music scene isn't as invigorating as it was during Jackson's time, and the internet had a lot to do with that. Now people have tons of options for music, whereas during Jackson's heyday, you had to watch that shit on MTV or buy physical records, so Jackson had a more commanding presence in pop culture.

Michael Jackson's height of fame makes Taylor Swift look like a blip on the radar. But that height of fame has come and gone, whereas Swift is still moderately popular with kids and teens today. That was my point. It's the difference between two bankers; one became a triple-digit billionaire, but then he crashed out and died, the second remained a moderately successful millionaire, and she still makes some decent profits. Jackson is the former, Swift is the latter.

I mean, I agreed with him in the past, and there are still ideas of his that I still agree with, like his opinions on the Star Wars Prequels and how the negative press centered around Red Letter Media's review of them led Star Wars down the wrong path. And I still remember back then when Razorfist was principled enough to condemn Trump when the latter seemed to be getting into a war with Syria. Hell, I still agree with his takedowns of the game journos. But recently, it seems like he's taken every wrong stance on the topics of today, from nerd shit to politics and society at large.
