Ubisoft Sellout - Bankruptcy Speedrun Any% Thread

I appreciate that, problem is they literally don't tell you which one has the DLC in it:

I googled the various editions and found an Ubi article that explains what's in each (apparently gold has the season pass, and the others have some gay cosmetics). Honestly I feel like when you have to write support articles to explain the differences between the multiple versions of the game you're selling, you should maybe take a step back and assess your business.
ok so heres the thing:

jokes aside, this is actually the thing when you scroll down

and then obviously the base game itself with no dlc content. merimutt dollars its like 18 bucks so for the ultimate edition, that gets you just about everything otherwise you're more than fine with either deluxe or gold

That's my bad, and I'll take the L. Apparently I missed it because my Steam isn't fullscreen so it doesn't show the full thing unless you expand. Still, I stand by my central thesis that having multiple fucking editions is gay and unnecessarily annoying. God I miss the days when you just had the game, a collector's edition with some ugly tchotchke and then maybe an Ultimate/GotY edition a few years later.

ultimate is just cosmetics. gold editions are usually the "real" game with base game + season pass.

to be fair that's how ubisoft finances their semi-liveservice which also keeps players coming back instead of a one-and-done game. that's just how it works.

the only real ass aspect they still haven't curbed is FOMO events and other shit they put in their games which you might miss picking it up on sale later. ironically they changed it in breakpoint that you can still play the events (not sure about rewards tho) by enabling them as a world modifier.

Steam should mandate you have to say what is in each version too. This just seems deceptive and confusing. Probably intentionally so on Ubisoft's end because they want you to buy the most expensive version to not deal with it.
E: NM its there.

Pardon the slackjawed question but does anyone have a comprehensive timeline of what the Hell happened with Beyond Good And Evil 2? Because that is my personal peeve with Ubisoft and I still can't make heads or shoulders of what I do know has happened thus far.

I thought anno 1800 was pretty decent. Certainly better than most modern ubisoft games
The base game was well made, I feel. The DLCs on the other hand are a bunch of gigantic mixed bags.

to put it short, it went woke, and with all incompetent dei shit it end up in unfinished developer hell.

I don't think there's actually been anything public other than the couple of teasers released for it over the years. The game director quit back during covid, someone died a couple years ago(I think it was the replacement director), and that's about it.

Considering this game has been in development hell since 2007? And it's in the hands of ubisoft of all people? Don't count on it ever happening.

"What in the god damn"...

The series was hours of just beloved characters being tortured to death and being made gay for god knows what reasons.
It was also made by the dude who got Apu from the Simpsons canceled. When seeing this I think it was when I realized Ubisoft was officially beyond the point of salvation both as a company and religiously.

SmashJT was outed as accepting "insider tips" from someone who was blatantly lying to him, so if he gets his channel taken down or taken to court again for defamation it will be even funnier.
Yeah that was McDizzle Gaming, who pretended to be a Ubisoft employee to troll Smash JT and then gloat about it. He's also a simp-friend of Dave "Airbagged Rivera" that likes to simp for Alyssa Mercante. At least Smash JT manned up his mistakes when McDizzle Gaming didn't. And right now, McDizzle Gaming and dickriders are harassing 8-Bit Eric.
