That idea is so utterly retarded it is hard to put in words. The number of accounts was way too high to be anything but a grassroots movement that had a rapid climb in popularity and an equally rapid decline once the grifter took over and started using the popularity to run their grifts.
If NAFO had been some kind of bot-farm project to influence public perception on Twitter then it would be super easy to prove since all major bot projects have been easy to spot due to copy & paste content, auto-generated usernames of <firstname><lastname><manynumbers> like other bot networks have been doing and account-creation dates matching.

All government created meme projects were utter failures because governments are inherently rigid in their thinking and out of touch with subcultures. The idea that ANY government of intelligence agency was able to create NAFO in a lab and make it take off on Twitter within 3 months of the war starting is laughable. No government/intelligence agency is competent enough to manage that.

You underestimate how retarded people can be. Governments aren't giant mechanical constructs made of clockwork and wood, they're organizations made of people. They're rigid and out of touch because the people that they're composed of are rigid and out of touch, but those sorts of people aren't always part of government - they can also be found on Twitter or Bluesky, many of them in this case marching to the same well-coordinated drumbeat.

And both those countries share a border with Belarus, which Russia can move through freely. If they got stuck in on Kaliningrad, they'd be opening the door for the Russians to recreate the American History X shower scene on a national scale.

There are still several "foreign volunteers" running grifts with Ukraine aid, pretty openly.
One runs all the funds she collects through a Canadian NPO first, so once the entire Ukraine fiasco gets audited she will get the RMCP knocking at her door.
Another runs a Volunteer aid group called PAV, which also gathers money, in some cases for actual weapon purchases (still using PayPal because nobody does anything) and when you go to donate there is a disclaimer that allows her to use the money for anything she likes.

Your expectation that these are sophisticated criminals is unwarranted. They simply profit from the corrupted governments remaining idle or people in charge being paid off in Ukraine so no investigations take place.

The griftathon in Ukraine is incredible.

The Sherman tank was built reliably and as a medium tank it did it's job well. People often try to compare it to a tiger when like they're not the same categories. The Tiger is a Heavy tank it's not fair to compare it to a Sherman. A more fair comparison would be the Panther or the panzer 4.

When you compare the Sherman to the Panzer 4 or the Panther the Sherman is overall a better tank despite its short comings just when you look at its reliably.
There are more Sherman's that survived the war and even survived wars in Yugoslavia and Israel to this day. Especially once you add the Firefly 76mm attachment which was a notorious tiger killer as a tank hunter.
Which if you didn't have anti tank guns, artillery, or air power to deal with tanks then you used a tank hunter. Very rarely did Sherman's ever go up against a tiger alone because in most cases you had a tiger ambush Sherman's and you rarely if ever had tanks fight a 1v1 fight.
People get this magical idea that a tiger could take down 10 Sherman's and wouldn't take even a plink.
The reality is oftentimes the tiger was stuck in the mud and turned into a defacto anti tank gun that often was destroyed by infantry or airpower.

pretty sure the allies also hed jets (gloster meteor) at roughly the same time, they just didnt feel the need to mass produce them yet

because their existing planes could deal with 262s anyway, cuz while it had a higher top speed, it would take it a long time to reach it, and it couldnt turn very well because hitler ordered his guys to convert most of em into bombers, cuz he thought interceptors were too defensive and a sign of defeatism
