I haven't seen (or missed it yet) but there's always option 3: This is all a "social experiment" where Phil does absolutely nothing for a day and the detractor verse goes FULL sperg mode with nothing to talk about. I know he's mentioned it a few times recently.
At least he'll play it off as that sometime this week.

Heard a fun theory:

A whale's family got angry about a credit card statement and are now suing Phil over the constant pignosis he keeps their son under, so now he's been advised by his lawyer to pretend to not be a beggar that holds multiple hour pignosis sessions he calls a pahdcast daily.

While a lawsuit like that would probably not go anywhere, it's not that crazy to believe Phil would eventually stumble upon a denthead with an overprotective litigious family.

Yeah I suspect its one of those things that detractors are just so "crazy" and turned out to be true(Kat really is divorced) that he's embarrassed to say what it really is because we would be right, and he would look stupid.

A no-fault divorce (where there are no legal disputes or anything) in Washington has a 90 day waiting period. They mostly take 6+ months to go through all the bullshit. And that's kind of assuming she doesn't try to seek alimony and there are no disputes. Almost every website says to expect it to take 6+ months (that's ignoring the backlog)

In Washington State, a divorce takes a minimum of 90 days to complete. To actually finish that quickly, you need to have filed and served the initial papers, reached agreement on the terms of the divorce, and completed and signed the final orders.

I doubt divorce because he will need to sell the house, which will appear online. I suspect he is not smart enough to do a prenup so he would need to share his assets.

I think yes, it's tax-related but he tried to minus all his tips from his tax thinking what Trump said would affect him. It won't and his accountant chewed him out for it. Remember an accountant too if they suspect fraud has to declare as you essentially take a pledge to be transparent, an accountant can also refuse to deal with him further. I think he submitted the Paypal amounts as income to the accountant without a form of receipt and the accountant is asking for all of them now. If I am correct he is also up a tax bracket to the 24% one which means he got way less of his expenses written off too.

I think too his accountant has been blunt and said "Look you cannot expense everything like other years, they will audit you else." I would love to talk to his accountant as I bet he is the client from hell, tries to hide income, and claims expenses on everything. Phil IS the type of fucker too that would claim his whole mortgage on expense whilst an accountant will laugh in his face. I think too Phil confuses an accountant with a bookkeeper because they are very different but they still take oaths on correct financial entry.

Whilst a divorce wouldn't be a rational move from Khet's point of view when she gets a free bedroom and Door Dash every day, humans don't always take the most sensible option, especially in emotionally charged situations like that. Edit: i was watching ALT the other day defending kat saying she ran away from an abusing relationship, why would she leave DSP? Again, did you see the hostage video? Just because he doesnt shout at her and go physical, that doesnt mean its not one. There is a reason she is in her room playing Skyrim.

Before people even get to divorce it seems much more likely she would move out first (to where exactly, I don't know) and a divorce would follow some weeks later.

There's a slim chance she could stay in the same house and they file for a divorce which increases a bit because they're both shut-ins but really hard to say.

Anyway "the khet is gone" would likely hit weeks or even months before any actual legal divorce happened - if at all. A divorce needs lawyers and money and shit and if she doesn't want anything from him in terms of alimony or whatever then there's little reason to bother with it as soon as possible.

There's plenty of people who separate and move out/away and don't actually get divorced until years later. A friend of mine just got divorced from her husband after like 3 years of them being separated because she got great health insurance because of it and because he wanted to remarry - prior to that there was no reason to actually do it (and they were not on good terms at all).

So it's not like it's impossible but anyone searching for divorce records is wasting their time. We'd likely know from DSP acting out before any actual divorce happened.

Some of you guys are still over thinking this. Phil is just extremely butthurt from the latest smark guys grill phil segment and this is all a ploy to get ppp to back off. This new behind the scenes personal problem appeared suddenly the day after ppp gave phil his hardest grilling yet- bringing up the Lex stuff, ICS, and even the incel manifesto. Phil was left feeling stupid and humiliated and being Phil, his only answer is to cry for sympathy.

Monday night ppp called kat fat again and basically called phil stupid and lazy some more, and then that same night/morning phil makes cryptic tweets about canceling streams for Tuesday but ends up doing the weird beg free streams with no prestream podcast. Phil is on some level coming to the realization that the whole king/redemption arc was an illusion and he doesn't know how to cope.

This is all a desperate attempt to get ppp to quit making fun of him but still keep doing the smark guys show and keep the hope alive for the king arc to continue.
