"Proper" French champagne is so hilariously overrated as to be farcacal. In fairness this is actually true. The best sparkling wine I've ever had was Australian, I first had it on a Qantas flight and I was pretty much poured off that A380 in Sydney.

It doesn't, which is why they have MAID. According to their own statistics published last December, in 2023 almost 20,000 people requested to die. The number has been increasing every year. Here's a quote from the report.

As is the case with other countries offering "free" healthcare, you have to wait a long time for it because they aren't going to pay for specialists that will be able to see you in weeks instead of months. The people who praise it are young twenty somethings that go into a clinic for a cold and are sent home after waiting for hours to see a doctor who tells them it'll clear up in a week or two. Not being billed for this somehow makes them feel that they have an amazing system, despite having to sit around for most of a day in a room full of other people who mostly should have stayed home themselves.

The system would run much more smoothly were it not for these people who don't need any actual medical care clogging it up, but when there's no cost to the people who clog it up they have no incentive not to do so. Instead they'll go back five days later because their seasonal cold hasn't lifted and after waiting another half day to see a doctor receive the same advice as before. Perhaps they'll be given a prescription for some cold medicine they could have bought at the store in the hope that having some placebo will make them go away and stop wasting everyone's time.

Eventually they will grow older and realize how badly the system sucks when they do have something that needs medical attention, but must sit in a lobby for 4 hours or more next to people with seasonal colds who should have stayed home, but are instead coughing and sneezing all over them while they wait for a doctor who is overworked from dealing with aforementioned sniffling idiots and will miss anything but the most obvious diagnosis leading to months of repeated visits and whack-a-mole medicine. Once the problem is identified, they will be added to lengthy waiting list to see anyone who might be able to do something about it.

Anyone who has money will go to the US for treatment. If Canada weren't dumping its excess patients who can afford it onto the US healthcare system it would be even more unmanageable. This was all true long before they started importing millions of immigrants who take more from the system than they contribute and exacerbate the problem sever times over.

Sorry if I'm late but I'm catching up in the thread and I needed to point something out. Thats not a actual gun that the troon is holding.


The outline is that of a bulky pistol but the grip and hammer make it out to be a revolver. But for a revolver to look like that it would be either some ultra premium piece or something rare so that doesn't make sense in the case of some random troon owning it. But look close at the bottom of the grip of the pistol. See that little nub sticking out of the grip.

To give a bit more info:

Weapons like this are "self defense weapons" sold in areas where the firearms laws make it basically impossible to get a normal firearm (such as the UK). They're designed to use CO2 cartridges to fire a variety of projectiles, the most common defense loads being pepper balls and these rounds that consist of a metal core with a rubber wrapping that are designed to maximize impact but minimize penetration. It can also use paintballs, and there's a steel-ball round that's intended for hunting.

It's a conceptually good idea that is a little silly and arguably would not be necessary but for the anal-retentiveness of our alleged betters.

But there's a funny thing about it that is really hard to not notice: Because it's a CO2 gun, it sidesteps a few of the issues with firearm ownership. Needs no license, doesn't involve extensive certifications, and won't get our background checked out. It's legal in California, which should tell you basically everything about the damn thing. But because it involves no background checks, it's become hilariously common with both troons and career criminals, both of which love it due to their inability to get an actual firearm any other way.

Knowing this, the funniest part comes in during this video where, even when they pull a weapon (and under most state firearms laws, the fact that the gun isn't real doesn't get you off the hook for threatening someone with a weapon). But during this whole exchange with the pastor, the troon:

1. Actively chooses to engage with the pastor
2. Threatens them at gunpoint with a fake gun
3. Runs off

We literally got to watch some loony troon fucking try to flex, only to fail at intimidating the manlet pastor and very bravely run away. Fucking amazing.
