They fear monger every single time. Now it does get a little bit annoying the longer it goes on with Parks being closed, some checks not getting sent out, etc. But the Dem should be more worried cause if the Gov is shutdown that gives DOGE even more time to go hold wild over everything while the govies are not even in the buildings.

Checks would still be sent out. We've had government shutdowns before and people still got paid, but literally no one noticed due to how useless the lot of it really is and we just went about our lives.

For the record, here's the 21 times the government has actually shut down:

  • 2018-2019 (President Donald Trump): December 22, 2018 to January 25, 2019 - 34 days
  • 2018 (President Donald Trump): January 20 to January 23 - 3 days
  • 2018 (President Donald Trump): February 9 – 1 day.
  • 2013 (President Barack Obama): October 1 to October 17 - 16 days
  • 1995-1996 (President Bill Clinton): December 16, 1995 to January 6, 1996 - 21 days
  • 1995 (President Bill Clinton): November 14 to 19 - 5 days
  • 1990 (President George H.W. Bush): October 5 to 9 - 3 days
  • 1987 (President Ronald Reagan): December 18 to December 20 - 1 day
  • 1986 (President Ronald Reagan): October 16 to October 18 - 1 day
  • 1984 (President Ronald Reagan): October 3 to October 5 - 1 day
  • 1984 (President Ronald Reagan): September 30 to October 3 - 2 days
  • 1983 (President Ronald Reagan): November 10 to November 14 - 3 days
  • 1982 (President Ronald Reagan): December 17 to December 21 - 3 days
  • 1982 (President Ronald Reagan): September 30 to October 2 - 1 day
  • 1981 (President Ronald Reagan): November 20 to November 23 - 2 days
  • 1979 (President Jimmy Carter): September 30 to October 12 - 11 days
  • 1978 (President Jimmy Carter): September 30 to October 18 18 days
  • 1977 (President Jimmy Carter): November 30 to December 9 - 8 days
  • 1977 (President Jimmy Carter): October 31 to November 9 - 8 days
  • 1977 (President Jimmy Carter): September 30 to October 13 - 12 days
  • 1976 (President Gerald Ford): September 30 to October 11 - 10 days
Anyone notice how short they were? Shut down threats are all performative theater meant to get the base pissy about something utterly useless.

Unrelated to current goings-on, but randomly remembered this at work today.

Anyone else remember when Joe Biden, the "most progressive president in history," decided to walk the picket line and fuck over unionized railworkers for wanting sick days? Remember when a train derailed in East Palestine and released a shitload of toxic chemicals into the air only a few months later due to the dogshit working conditions that they were protesting over?

I still can't believe any part of the Biden presidency was real.

People keep fear mongering a government shutdown as if it would be the worst thing in the world. Would it really be the worst thing though? Really? Everyone would still get their government benefits. Nothing really would stop, aside from Fed workers not going into their jobs (I give little shit of that).

Hell, it'd be worth a shutdown just so we wouldn't have to hear their useless screeching for a while. Remember how no one really noticed Hollywood "striking" ?
I would suspect that the next government shutdown may not include back pay for the employees sent home

Again, I refer to you to my post which I've just updated about the times we've shut down. Literally less than a fucking MONTH for all of it, which equals about a regular vacation time. The longest we've ever had a shut down is a month and two days.

So basically, NGOs can pay foreigners to be political agitators here, and the courts have ruled that's some kind human right.
Not just here, everywhere. People complain about Canada and Europe and Australia, it's all the same shit everywhere, NGOs import activists who advocate for leaving in millions of foreigners who advocate for the same goals. Traitorous leaders conspire to enable these plans with the NGOs and leftists NPCs are the same in every country, the very model of the interchangable blank human their masters want. European farmer protests, canadian trucker protests, the actual people oppose this shit but they're living the world where we had 4 more years of Biden

The whole thing is stupid. You can still make champagne (though I don't know why you'd want to since it's fucking gross and a waste of grapes) but can't label it as such, much like you can make a soda but can't call it Coca Cola. It's a little more complex than that, but it's not really a big deal. The US makes a crap ton of whisky, but we wouldn't call it Scotch. Just like other countries can make whisky, but can't call it Bourbon even if it otherwise meets the requirements to be labeled as such just because it wasn't produced in the US. Just label ours as "Bubbly" or any number of other synonyms people already use for champagne.
They will steal our agreed-upon names and laugh while we point out the difference, with some consternation.

We will steal their agreed-upon names and they will reorient their entire culture to make us into villains guilty of blood libel.

There is no working with people like this. Make American Champagne Again

>get a student visa
>dont attend class at a top university that costs a fortune to attend
>lose visa for not attending
>somehow have it reinstated
>still dont attend class
Students and parents work their asses off to get a chance at a good school. And most get there and are told they need more cash, so they get a bad loan and shackle themselves to a lifetime of debt.

This vagrant gets free money to spend eight years in a top school doing nothing and has no fear of anything at all. Then has the nerve to stir shit and cause people that have worked hard to lose valuable time and opportunities at a better life.

Get the fuck out of the United States and take your entire family with you.
