I want to know how Texas would enforce this, but it's funny seeing all these people go up in arms over loli.
there's an existing law against lolicon/shotacon and what they do is they charge you with it when you're busted for other things related to child endangerment.
There are internet watchdogs that somehow view downloads and uploads of images and videos from ISPs. They regularly monitor internet usage in schools, daycare centers, and some foster homes. With this extension, it will likely allow them to give stronger punishments for Simulated CSAM and consider it as part of their investigations.
I knew of someone in New Braunfels, TX that got arrested for this. A co-worker and I called the cops about his open lolicon porn at the time. They didn't do shit until they found real CSAM shit 6 months later at his mom's daycare center.
I'm happy Texas is doing this.
