All this talk about books gave me an idea for a kids book.

Its about an inquisitive Kiwi who is looking for the answers for his questions. He asks the King Cobra but the Cobra just said it 'It is what it is toobz' and didn't even care.

He asked the Hedgehog but the Hedgehog only said "Julie!!"

Finally after a long search, he asks the Moon.
Dude, this admin is trying to CURE autism, not create MORE of it.

Schools really need to make room for advanced readers or they run the risk of turning them off reading entirely.
While in elementary I was the trouble kid, not because of any really bad behavior, but because I absolutely despised the stupid reading and got extremely bored with the shit they made us read, as in 'I read this book literally in an hour when it was supposed to take days' level of bored. My parents advocated for my reading schedule to be changed, most of the books I had for fun were already approved curriculum for high school, but the school rejected it because they didn't want to pay for the testing kits. My parents said fuck you, paid for them, forced them down the school administration's throats, and I ended up in AP and concurrent enrollment college classes through my teens thanks to them ensuring I could personally appreciate and scholastically understand literature ranging from fantasy's greatest to law books (it helped that my grandmother was a lifelong librarian who worked for schools and a goddamn law library).

Turns out, if you let a kid read as much as they want, they eventually start asking questions and get very unhappy with lackluster responses from the supposedly educated adults around them, who then try to punish you for being actually interested in literally anything because it makes them uncomfortable. Then these same people wonder why everyone who deals with teachers and administrators become extremely anti-authority and want the department of education and teacher's unions to be executed on live TV.

My schools, all of them, wouldn't give you any designated time to go to the library, it was limited to before or after school which meant most kids just never fucking went. If there was a class that happened to be in the library you also couldn't check out a book, or during lunch, so I have no idea what the fuck we even had one for.
I was blessed with a school that highly encouraged it. There was always a few times a week we would go to the library 15 to 30 minutes to look and check out books. We also had competitions to see who could read the most during the year. Never participated in the competitions but looking back I read so much I should have.

Right around Jr. High that started to die down and I had to go to the library in between classes or at lunch. Would go frequently. Hell even as an adult I still go to the library once in awhile. Probably the few things I don't mind my tax dollars going towards.

WTF is happening. The Chuds are demanding people eat organic foods, and stop using GMO seed oils while rolling up in electric cars to dunk on the Left. Meanwhile, the Left is saying not eating the GMO food and bowing to global pharma conglomerates is fascism. And if you drive an electric car you are a right wing extremist.

This is all kinds of invasive.
It's pretty standard with certain medical conditions all around the world. A lot of jurisdictions have mandatory reporting so if you get diagnosed with epilepsy to use @Marvin 's example, your doctor has to report that to the vehicle licencing authority. If you drive anyway and anything happens then your insurance won't be valid and the courts will fuck you up the ass extra hard.

I didn’t need an example that specific, but I get it.

I had my first seizure right when I got my learner's permit when I was fifteen so I didn't have the full driving history that most people have.

A few years ago, I got off my ass and got my drivers license.

Lol holy shit I had to take driver's ed with Baltimore teenagers. I was 30.

One class they were all giggling and I'm like "lol what's so funny" and the chick pulls her eyelids down and they're bloodshot as fuck. She high as shit on something.

Fucking kids these days.

I grew up in rural MD. Going to into the big city, Baltimore, as a teenager was like our Vegas, as gay as that sounds.
