From Loomer:

I have identified the reporter who hit President @realDonaldTrump in the face with a boom mic this week while he was speaking to the press on the tarmac. Her name is Danielle Kurtzleben @titonka. She is the newly appointed White House reporter for @NPR and a massive Trump hater and LGBTQ advocate who once suggested during the 2024 campaign that Trump only spoke in Howell, Michigan because it has ties to the KKK. Did she hit President Trump in the face on purpose?

She has previously accused Trump of being pro KKK, and compared his speeches to those of Hitler.

While she was reporting on the only presidential debate between President Trump and @KamalaHarris in 2024, Danielle wrote, “The Vice presidential debate is especially significant because there was only one presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Harris, NPR's Danielle Kurtzleben says. Walz will defend Harris' record. The vice president has only been the candidate for around two months. Meanwhile, Vance might attempt to make up for Trump's widely acknowledged loss to Harris in the presidential debate.” She said Trump “lost” to Kamala in the debate.

Since becoming the new @NPR White House reporter, Danielle Kurtzleben has been very focused on reaching out to trans, nonbinary, and intersex federal workers who have been negatively impacted by the Trump admin Executive Orders.

I'm wondering why this isnt a bigger deal. This seems to be a pretty serious security breach. There could have been ricin on the mic or something
It actually is, we’re just not hearing about it (yet). Notice the huge pause in the original video.

I'm always shocked at just how sharp a grasp on internet and meme culture Trump has for an 81 year old man. Baron or someone else has to be advising him.
I think it's just that Trump isn't really part of the socialite/aristocrat families of America. He's not a Kennedy, Roosevelt, or Aster. He's the equivalent of some of the families that made their fortune running stuff like HVAC or Plumbing companies. He's as much as I hate to give that schizo Whatifalthist any credit very much like the Gracchi brothers. Someone who is rich but fucking hates how up their own ass the rich are.

Funnily enough the opposite of Hitler. Hitler was raised in a middle class family then went to Vienna and realized he hated the average German but came to the conclusion that it was the Jews that made the poor into what they were.

And a federal judge has more executive power than the president; he can order criminal gangs back into the country because… he says so?
The president is using his authority granted through the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport foreigners. However, the Alien Enemies Act states that it can only be used when the United States has declared war against a foreign nation or government, or when the United States has been invaded by a foreign nation or government.

Problem is that Tren de Aragua is not a nation or government. Trump tries to justify TdA being a government by suggesting that the Venezuelan government has ties with a different drug cartel which coordinates with Tren de Aragua to flood the US with drugs. All that somehow means that Venezuela is ordering TdA to invade the US, so it is legal to arrest all TdA members in the US and deport them.

His justification does not make any fucking sense. Tren de Aragua is not acting on behalf of Nicholas Maduro to destabilize the US. They are here, abusing loopholes in the immigration system, to sell drugs and engage in criminal behavior.

Therefore, Trump has no way to use the power of the Alien Enemies Act to deport these criminals. There could be another way, perhaps by Congress passing a law that allows him to extradite known members of foreign criminal organizations. He could order the Department of Justice to prioritize the conviction of illegal aliens, provide state and local officials more resources to speed up prosecutions.

There’s a lot that he could do with his power as the Executive, but the power invested in him through Alien Enemies Act is not one of them in this situation.

There is a reason it says "Any foreign nation or government", and it isn't for redundancy. Not all nations of people had formal governments in the 18th century.

From the 1773 English Dictionary by Samuel Johnson: https://johnsonsdictionaryonline.com/views/search.php?term=nation

NA'TION. n.s. [nation, French; natio, Latin.]

1. A people distinguished from another people; generally by their language, original, or government.

If Edward III. had prospered in his French wars, and peopled with English the towns which he won, as he began at Calais driving out the French, his successors holding the same course, would have filled all France with our nation.
—Sir Walter Raleigh
A nation properly signifies a great number of families derived from the same blood, born in the same country, and living under the same government.
—William Temple

Nation shares the same latin root (natio) as nativity, because it is about birth, tribe, and race.

What the fuck are they thinking when they do this? Do they think the people would cheer for them over this? This isn't some group of normal illegals, these are straight up prison gangsters who don't even DESERVE the courtesy to breathe the same air as we do. This is why nobody likes you or your party, or anyone in a position of authority. Fucking unreal.
It doesn't matter. If they're brown then you can't point that out. You must accept them by default. They could be harming your family and you're expected to cheer. You can't notice that they're criminals, it's racist to call them criminals (after all, "no human being is illegal"). You are expected to pay for their misgivings, because a hundred years ago some Germans did a heccin genocide.

All that’s required for the Alien Enemies Act to take effect is a threat. Venezuela has threatened the United States before, even if you don’t consider TdA its own government, which in the context of 18th century sensibility it would certainly be.

The Democratic Party’s favorability rating among Americans stands at a record low, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS, fueled in part by dimming views from its own frustrated supporters.
But why is favorability so low? What issues specifically might your party's base be having with what your party is screaming about? Come on, say it, we promise we won't call you some kind of -ist or -phobic for pointing it out.

The gamification of reading is so annoying, it’s worse than not encouraging it at all.
Late but was talking with a younger guy about this; when he was in elementary school he had something called "Accelerated Reading," and the points he got from their quizzes was tied to the "reading grade." I think the idea was that kids would read many books at their level, but the guy I talked to said he would just read like one or two "hard" books and not read any library books for the rest of the semester. If that's true, crafty guy.

Trump has some of the best lawyers in the business
No wonder Trump has been cozying up to Israel...
