Gigi's fans have convinced themselves that all of the hate coming her way is the work of one krack932, who appears to be making a solid effort upsetting the right people in the fandom. She happened to identify this individual, AndTails, who is (somehow) a father and a moderator of /r/SonicTheHedgehog, saying that he wished he had a book like Gender Queer growing up and that he'll be showing it to his daughter when she's "old enough". Cross-dressing Tails in his profile pic btw, so he definitely wants to trans his own daughter.

Re: Alex Yard. While I like hearing this guy's insight regarding Sonic music, it seems like the guy has a serious elitist streak. The first time I noticed it was his "You Have Only Experienced 25% of Sonic 3."

The video does offer some interesting insight and trivia regarding the game's level design, and I do think Sonic 3 is one of the best games ever created. However, the overall tone of the video leaves me with the impression of the guy sucking his own dick for 45 minutes because literally no-one besides him cares about number go big. "Oh, you don't score attack this 30-year-old game? Well I guess you're not a real Sonic fan." Get fucked.

There's a recent Sonic creepypasta series that's been making the rounds on Youtube called 99Max. I'd put off watching it for months despite it popping up in the recommended tab since I thought it was some sort of forced Friday Night Funkin meme, or a crude attempt at a Sonic.exe 'analogue horror' series, but it looks to be a sincere original effort.

Premise is that '99Max' is a magic alien that arrived on Earth, took up a gig with SEGA to produce the Sonic brand and decided to live his days out in this virtual recreation of Sonic's world online as Sonic. Sometimes he drags in people from the real world and they then inhabit the roles of Sonic characters.

Despite initial misgivings from the presentation of it, it's clearly not an 'analogue horror' project, it just takes some influence from the genre with facial warping for its horror and dramatic elements. Otherwise it's comedy and slice of life, there's no ARG to solve nor some hidden lore to piece together, just a pretty straightforward story.

The art assets are digitally painted and despite Tails being a girl, it's not played out as an instance of trooning out (yet), looks to just be a reference to that initial confusion over Tails by kids in the 90's.

I think that if SEGA was willing to do something about it, they would have done so already. It's already been over a month since the issue with the tit-chopping book rec came out, and Gigi's still taunting the chuds about it on her general account, as I posted.
SEGA's been making troon-friendly moves for a few years now - Persona 5 Royal tried to pretty up the 'homos kidnap Ryuji' episode, they removed side stories from Yakuza 3 Remastered revolving around getting chased by a very unpassing crossdresser named Michiru, and Persona 3 Reload replaced the horny creature Junpei sniffs out as a male with a schizo conspiracy theorist that tries to sell you overpriced sunscreen instead, among lots of smaller changes. "LGBTQ caricatures" are one of the problematic elements they now axe during the game's actual development, as they so proudly shared in this article. More relevant to Sonic, Chao being called "they" and "them" is apparently a new SEGA mandate according to Stanley and they were also fine with her introducing a gay pairing to the comic (1, 2), while Sonic Frontiers penned by Ian referred to almost all Koco as "they" or "them", even ones with gendered roles like the mother you help on the first island.
Directly shilling a tit-chopping book in a kids' comic is much worse than these examples, I realise, but what I'm trying to say is that the SEGA of today loves pandering to the alphabet community, and so if they still haven't done anything, then they either support IDW's bullshit, or know that they'd lose all goodwill with their mainly left-leaning audience if they did anything, because troons and troon allies are fucking batshit insane, as we know from back when the tit-chopping book banning saga happened years ago. I am kinda blackpilled, though, so I'd welcome the thoughts of anyone who wants to convince me they'd actually do something.

Right, fair enough. I wish Sonic wasn't attached to this kind of insanity, as regular Sonic is deranged enough, especially if you include Archie Sonic, but I guess it will take some more time for wokeshit to die off. It would be funny if Sonic IDW ends up dying just like Transformers IDW and all of the "OC characters end up being forgotten. Granted, they are irrelevant anyway until/if they show up in the games.

I actually like Tangle, probably the best girl character to be added to the series since Sticks cuz she has actually has a friggin personality. Unlike a lot of the new batch of nagging girlbosses, I think she fits in enough with the original cast that if you toned down her outfit a little she'd fit nicely in the satam era.

She also actually has a power that isn't just 'owns a gun', which is bonus.

Because the cast is terribly lacking: Besides Eggman, who else is there to cause conflict? The Zeti? IIRC they are supposed to be dead after that game. Dr. Starline from IDW? He's a less competent Eggman. The eldritch abomination of the week? It will be killed/sealed after the game is over, with no carryovers.

Also, Mario's world, despite having even less plot (even then it has at TWO potential big bads at least: Bowser and King Boo), feels more lively than Sonic's world, which currently isn't even sure if humans coexist with the funny animals or not (Youtube videos don't count until a mainline game confirms this issue that has been ignored since Sonic Unleashed). Hell, we don't even have a name for Sonic's species. Characters are paper-thin and you can't even play dress-up with them (as in, giving them special clothes/gear for whatever reason except for specific circumstances like winter gear) since at some point Team Sonic had the terrible idea to standardize their designs, so everyone looks the same, with all guys having a limited attire and no pants ever, and all of the gals always having a full outfit, with no exceptions.*

The world is supposed to be littered with ancient civilization ruins, alternate dimensions and so on, but it doesn't seem to matter much. Frontiers tried to give character development to the main friend trio (Tails, Amy and Knuckles), but each one is so plain that it falls completely flat. Then there are characters like Shadow or Silver, who are difficult to use.

If the next mainline game is something like Unleashed 2 and explored more of the setting, that would be cool, but I don't trust much in Sega after Frontiers' try-hard plot.

I don't like her because of how pushed her lesbian romance with Whisper is, even though the two act more like friends than anything else in the comic. It's kinda sad how static the IDW comics are, because the games' cast are frozen and can't have character development due to the stupid mandates, and the OC characters won't matter once IDW goes under.
I liked how Cream the like 6-years old rabbit had to see her mom became a not-zombie robot horror, and she pretty much forgets about it once she's cured, kek. Meanwhile, Whisper barely opens her eyes anymore due to suffering from PSTD after watching her squad die years ago and has remained the same ever since.

*A funny thing I remember is that the protagonist of that VN joke game, the purple civvie, is apparently considered a "they" by the fanbase some reason... Which makes no sense as he lacks pants, which means it must be a male character, confirmed as his official/canon name is Barry IIRC.
