I'm repeating what has already been said in this thread. This action is not an attack on the Constitution nor a overreach of presidential powers. What's being called into question is not if Biden would have 'agreed' to the pardons but wether he was even aware of them. The allegations are that his staff were writing and signing these pardons and EO's without his knowledge or input, not that he didn't agree or didn't physically sign it. The autopen is the tool they would have used to put Biden's 'signature' on it.

If anyone is guilty of "going after the Constitution" it's Biden's admin, by allegedly writing and signing these documents via autopen playing pretend president by proxy.

People focusing on the autopen shit are missing the point. The real question is was Biden sufficiently mentally competent to understand what he was authorising? The mechanics of how his signature made it to the paper are irrelevant.

The issue is whether Biden did it at all. If Biden sat there, staring blankly into space, while he pushed the "Sign" button, well, he still issued the pardons, the final authority on the President's fitness to serve is Congress, and the Democratic Congress decided they'd rather have Biden shitting his pants in the Oval Office than endure Kamala Harris's mindless cackling. But if he was sleeping off another "senior moment" while aides drafted and signed pardons without his knowledge, then there is a legitimate question as to whether pardons even technically happened.

Autopens have been used by presidents for a long time. Obama famously used an autopen to extend the Bush tax cuts. There is long precedent for autopens to be valid. Not sure why Trump is being a retard about this.
