So I have problems when watching some newer TVs, and this can apparently be a problem for people with mild astigmatism (i.e., mild enough that you're not bothering to wear your glasses while you watch.) I don't know the scientific reason for why some TVs are worse for it, but it's definitely a thing. This hunch prompted me to search Zach's twitter for "astigmatism." Sure enough:
