Because this internet gossip mill website keeps track of the weird degenerates, mostly for entertainment purposes, but also so that the really sick freaks can't hide their stuff like the very people you're defending can, have and will continue trying to do. I'm torn on the subject because I don't think fiction should be illegal, but I also think enjoying lolicon could mean you're a pedophile. Maybe lolifags should just face a social stigma? I certainly wouldn't trust any kids around someone if I knew they liked loli porn. I don't say any of that for "free speech" reasons either; I doubt our forefathers had people jacking off to pictures of cartoon children in mind when they gave us freedom of speech, so it seems retarded to even try that argument.

Also, I don't buy the "You kill people in GTA and you aren't a murderer, so why would loli mean you're a pedophile?" argument anymore because I've learned that seeing violent media can activate the parts in your brain that would activate if you participated in violence. By that I mean it can traumatize you, or if you enjoy the violence, it might means you're a sadist or whatever the word is.

But that is one of the great things about free speech. I personally think everyone should freely broadcast just how fucked up in the head they are so everyone else knows to avoid or ostracize them. A lot of people seem to think free speech means 'I can say or do anything I want and nobody can judge me or react to me for it' what it really means is you have the freedom to decide if you want to say some dumb shit or not and also that the consequences of your free speech fall solely on you. Free speech doesn't mean freedom from the consequences of your speech.

I always thought that argument was stupid because you're doing those two activities for inherently different reasons. The majority of people are consciously aware they're playing a videogame as a fictional character engaging in exaggerated fictional activities. Staring at a cartoon child with your cock in your hand is really not a comparable activity.

I never really used to think much about violence in video games but I have noticed as I've gotten older I sometimes do react to it the way I would seeing real violence. I honestly tend to avoid a lot of overly violent media in general these days. I find I just don't enjoy it very much any more. I dunno, maybe I just understand the consequences of violence better now that I'm older and I realize it never really ends well.
