It's telling that Aella, Ms. Research and Rationalism, seems to be ignoring literally every study showing that porn use in childhood leads to all kinds of horrific outcomes, including a drastic increase in child on child sex crimes.

The rationalist view would be to base your opinions on the most rigorous, up to date studies. Her ulterior motives, whether it's an attempt to convince herself that her childhood sex abuse didn't damage her, or if it's genuinely an attempt to groom minors (or the likely third option: she's a useful idiot), become very blatant.

at least she's being honest about the scale of the problem

porn is so ubiquitous that it's incredibly difficult to keep minors from getting access to it

therefore that's not actually a reasonable parenting expectation. her solution is porn for teens, but executing pornographers is where normal people will go once they make this conceptual leap.

I’m pretty sure most schools would have pretty robust child blocks on the computers, I know mine did because i accidentally triggered it when trying to research art on the internet and im slightly older than Aella and this was elementary school, she was in high school. School computer use was monitored. If students are accessing porn on the school computer that’s totally wrong and I actually agree with her parents in this instance, though I have to wonder if this actually happened.

Nowadays with smart phones it’s harder to control what kids see but as a society/ parents we should absolutely do whatever we can to protect kids from hardcore porn as it can be so damaging. Most millennials, especially men were exposed to it at a young age and can attest to the issues it causes…

think about it like poop diseases. everyone should wash their hands after going to the bathroom but when it becomes your personal responsibility to dig a latrine for your household your society has some big problems.

"as society/parents" is not the same thing, don't conflate them. parents individually have to do what we can but it's impossible for parents to fix this. would you trust all of your neighbors to dig their own latrines? of course not. not even necessarily because they're lazy or bad. you can't trust everyone to do what's necessary to keep children from seeing the most horrible shit online and we all have to live together. this is a social problem and needs to be solved on a collective level.

Starting to think posting owns like this is her way of letting the neckbeards who buy her OF and substack know that she's still obtainable by losers and definitely not a social climber looking for a rich man to take care of her.
