At this point, the only reason I can think of how DSP doesn't get massive headaches from these insane self-brainwashing mental gymnastics, is that his brain moved out of his skull a long time ago and bought itself some land and a house somewhere in the countryside.

Rich somehow actually did a good job. I know people were pissed when he started talking about the mic arm, but I agree with you that it was more about trying to not play along with Phil's story than anything.

Except that fell apart because Dave couldn't manipulate a brain dead drug addict into going along with his act for 20 minutes before dropping him from the call because he was derailing his gay as fuck larp. Medical bills are insane. If my wife, pets, or parents were sick, I would do anything to make as much money as possible to help them. He doesn't have the chutzpah of a man trying to protect his loved ones. The fact that he's so hesitant to do things with the kinocasino that would make tons of money at the horrible expensive of looking a bit silly leads me to believe it's all fake. The real reason he doesn't want to do anything irl with the kasino, such as the polygraph or Hogan visit, is so they can't see his home life and the fact that his family is probably fine. And admitting things isn't always the best idea but he hasn't done a single fucking thing to self-improve himself basically ever.

It's about the same level of what he did with Sidescrollers.
