Ubisoft Brazil seems to be the only division with a fun ad campaign for the game having created a tokusatsu inspired short.




I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the country which imported and dubbed Super Sentai before Power Rangers was even a thing has more reverence for Japan and its culture than proper Ubisoft.

Brazil has more Japanese people than every other country that isn't Japan. It would have been an anomaly for them not to have reverence for Japan.

I was really into the alt-historical setting combined with near-ish future scifi, all the way from 1 to Syndicate. But then it was an era I couldn't give less of a shit about in Origins and the series became a parody of open world uber-slop game design.

If this was a decade plus ago and Ubisoft released Shadows back when the fans wanted them to do a Japan entry it would've been GotY material, but now it's the exact opposite and could be the game that marks when all the little problems became an existential problem for the company.

Haven't played ass creed since the 360, is the animus genetic memory shit still a thing? I remember in the old games you need someone related to the historical character in the machine, I assumed the lady and nogg would get together to explain that but apperatetly darkie is fruity so how's that work? I know they've basically abandoned the modern era story but i thought they at least payed some lip service to the animus concept, I guess they're just lucky and some found some blasian released to both.

There's a variety of other tools which store memory in the series. E.g. they have some so that when Altair fucks that templar woman and swandives away, you can still find out what happened to him in the desmond saga.

In addition, there's been plenty of Asscreeds where the premise is they've taken some unknown's DNA and just let anyone look into it.

Ouch, but surely that's just an all-time peak against AC Shadow's Day 1. Veilguard had an atrocious day 1 right? Oops, Veilguard did 70,414 on day 1, which was October 31st, FUCKING HALLOWEEN. So people are more willing to spend their Halloween playing the shitty literal troon game that underperformed than the game about a zesty ass nigga blacking the current Japanese Emperor's ancestor while they have literally nothing else to do. Wow, we totally got owned guys! Ubisoft is printing dollars! Multiple dollars!

Fucking Cyberpunk came out 5 years ago and has a higher 24-hour peak at 42,919. Red Dead Redemption 2 came out 6 years ago and hit 56,179 today. Left 4 Dead 2 came out SIXTEEN YEARS AGO and it still hit 31,647 today. UBISOFT'S AAA FLAGSHIP TITLE THAT IS SUPPOSE TO SAVE THEM IS GETTING MOGGED BY A GAME OLD ENOUGH TO DRIVE.
