As others have said, I don't think this is a "sponsorship." I don't know what exactly has gone on here, but the way this video came across to me was her trying to play the part of a "real influencer" - a social media user who has deals with/obligations to the brands who are paying them. I may well be giving her too much credit, but there is something very unnecessary and performative about this - it makes me wonder if some of the criticism about her refusal to get a real job and her delusions of being a "content creator" is getting to her, and she wants to make it look like she has contractual obligations and that TT is therefore a "real" job. What she said about "[having] to post something or I'll get a strike on my account" just doesn't make any sense at all - a sponsorship, or a deal to review a product in exchange for a free sample, would be a matter for her and the sponsor, not TikTok. I call bullshit.

This is a recent IG live (someone called Hat uploads them to YT). I know Tophia goes live all the time and there is nothing particularly special about this one, but I found it so infuriating that I feel it has to be archived here.

She is obviously in the hospital with Marie (this is clear from background noises, and if you listen carefully there are a few points at which you can hear Mamachu's voice). The fact that her elderly mother is recovering from a gunshot wound, and medical staff are going about their business, while Tophia rants on a livestream, is gross and disrespectful enough. But then she has the nerve to accuse "the internet" of "failing to take accountability" for the terrible crime of paying attention to a fat retard who made a spectacle of themselves precisely in order to get attention. It is "the internet"'s fault that they were evicted from the flat (somehow, according to Tophia, it was possible to leave fake Google reviews for the apartment block they were living in with Papachu, despite the fact that this is not a business), rather than that Papachu stopped paying rent and Tophia and Marie didn't do anything about this in time. Their eviction from one extended-stay motel was not due to failure to pay rent or to clean the room, but was because of fake reviews. The eviction from another motel was because of Squid (even though Squid did not go public until after they were evicted, as far as i remember). She even admits that they were evicted for these reasons (rent and cleanliness), but claims that these were just "excuses" the motel gave for it, the "real reason" for the eviction being that the hotel had to get rid of the Slydells because of the bad reviews (goes on about how important Google reviews are). Shifting blame everywhere while ranting about the failure of others to "take accountability." She is upset that she was not mentioned in an article about the shooting.

I'm new to Tophiachu, and what I have read makes it hard to have long lasting sympathy. I'll empathize on a human level that she lost her brother and her mother is still in recovery after getting shot. But come the fuck on, have you no shame?
