Most autistic thing you've purchased lately - c'mon feel the cringe

I spent 50 cents on an old yardstick. It's bright yellow* and has the name of a long-defunct power company on it. At some point, the black typeface must have gotten chipped or faded, because some previous yardstick owner has used a black marker to carefully (but imperfectly) fill in the damaged lettering.

I don't have any pressing reasons to measure a yard, but yardsticks are very handy for fishing cat toys out from under furniture and appliances.

* in related autistic news, I referred to it as "school bus yellow" when describing it to a relative. The relative then launched into a exhaustive description of the shades of yellow used on school buses through the years. All the different paint colors had official names-- like house paint.

Got some custom stickers made for my VW beetle. The "MKC" one is a Marconi callsign.

Björk's first 4 albums on vinyl. Debut, Post, Homogenic, and Vespertine. It's payday and I fucking love Björk.

You should have saved yourself the money and just strapped some cymbals and a set of drums to a goose, and kicked it down several flights of stairs.

Several, and I mean SEVERAL, small 3d printed critters. I've developed kind of an addiction to them lately. My collection grows all the time. Have you guys noticed that at all kinds of events and functions and markets, people are selling 3d printed thingamajigs? It's a phenomenon!! Every time I see them I have to purchase something. Specifically yesterday I got a fox, Stitch, a shark, a fox keychain, a hummingbird, a catfish, a frog, and Godzilla (my favorite). They joined my collection including Toothless, a spaceman, a t-rex, a raccoon, a wolf, Perry the platypus, and 2 dragons. They came from a national dog show, a vendor mall, a church parking lot fundraiser, an indoor drumline competition, a flea market in the mountains, etc!! But they're not just shelf trinkets okay! I actually carry some everywhere because they're fabulous fidget toys.

I've printed several of these of my kid and other kids in the family. The obvious ones are Pokemon, but a personal favorite, and favorite of my kid, is a hermit crab with a separate shell. I printed several shells in different colors, so, in Kid's words, "he can change houses whenever he wants".

Hell yeahhhh. Kids know what's cool.

You wouldn't happen to have a link to the STLs, would you? That sounds perfect for my niece.

Tax: Since exhausting the six stud-wide car kits in the City line, I've started collecting/building the Lego Speed Champions F1 car kits. They strike a nice balance between being nicely detailed models that look good on display, having plenty of models in the line and being both widely available and reasonably inexpensive.

So far, I've picked up the Red Bull/Oracle, Aston Martin, McLaren and AMG Mercedes kits. All of them have some unique elements to differentiate them from each other and there are some genuinely neat building tricks if you're into that sort of thing as well.

It's a paid model, you can probably find it in different places, but here's one:

However, check your DMs, I gotchu my nigga.

The charging port on my old phone ended up getting so loose I needed tape to hold the port in place, so I got a new one.

What's autistic has been my requirements for the phone and accessories I've gotten to prolong its life. So far I've gotten the phone itself (android, OLED, expandable storage, wireless charging capable, and headphone jack), a magsafe case, a chargie to limit the battery to 85% and increase its life, USB port covers, and a wireless charger with a fan built in to keep the battery from getting hot.

I want this one to last 5+ years.
