It's awesome because it really would have been a good idea. It wasn't just the $50k either, they're all making decent money now and that show has normalized Wings to some extent. It's a wrestling term that's evolved somewhat over years back way back when pre what's known as the IWC (internet wrestling community) a smark or smart mark was someone who followed the dirt sheets (newsletters or magazines that covered upcoming wrestling feuds and storylines as well as real names of wrestlers) so they knew it was fake but didn't matter cause they thought they were special for having inside information. Nowadays it's just someone who's more like a hipster wrestler thinking they have cred for saying shit like "oh I've been watching Seth Rollins when he was Tyler Black in Age of the Fall".

The delusions of grandeur. He's a terrible straight man both sexually (because he's a fag) and comedically. He thinks being a straight man in a comedy duo involves just sitting sausage mode with his resting stroke face going "wooooooow" after someone tells him something crazy, or having a bewildered look on his face because he's legitimately too low IQ to understand what was just said by the funny man.

I've gone through some of the DMs and he pitched this idea multiple times called "The Guntbusters" where they would be dressed up as Ghostbusters and he'd be the straight man to Andy and PPP's funny man. What he meant by that is that he just wanted Andy and PPP to talk about Ethan Ralph's lore while he just sits there and does fucking nothing, being carried like the worthless load he has been for the entirety of his life.

Piggys idea of a straight man: just stand there like an autistic lump going yup or doing some faggoty giggle adding little to a situation.
A real straight man: being able to act as the eye of a storm and using the slightest of physical cues to make a situation even funnier, they're like the cherry on top of a comedy sundae.
That being said here's another term that comes from wrasslin' and it's a sort of reverse straight man called corpsing ie trying to keep yourself from laughing in an otherwise serious situation.
