I think it has more to do with Dobson's time period. During the late 90's and the 2000's, lipstick lesbians were sort of a cultural icon. Two hot girls making out in a movie got bro hollers in the theater. They were a sort of trend for early Millennials.

As much as I feel like there was some perversion going on with his lesbian obsession, I think it has to do mostly with his hatred of men. They’re horrible chuds who abuse women and shouldn’t exist (at least, I remember him making one facebook reply that said “men are mutations”)! But women, they’re pure and sweet and can do no wrong, so two women in a relationship has to be great! Perfect for him to draw chastely blushing and kissing in mindless fluff scenarios, unlike those brutish men.

I don't think you are wrong. It could be both. Drawing lesbians in the 2000's was a great way to get attention, which is what Dobson wanted above all.

It could very well be the case that Dobbo had several negative experiences with males growing up. Considering he's a histrionic and dorky type who grew up in Massachusetts, I can guarantee that he got fucked with as a kid by his peers. It may be that he has a thing for lesbians because he has a hatred or fear of men, doesn't want to see another man with his object of sexual desire, and is self-aware enough that drawing himself with those girls is cringey. However, I don't know enough facts about Dobbo's childhood to do anything other than hypothesize.

Sorry but this is dumber than the gayops a few pages back. Canada isn't giving out visas to mediocre artists with no industry experience. Even if a studio did hire Dobson they wouldn't be giving him free range to give the characters wacky eyebrows.

And like most woke animation studios, they love to exploit their staff for social media photo ops. Reviewing Wind Sun Sky's socials does not reveal any Dobson-looking people in all the team photos.

He wouldn't use a fake name because he wants everyone to know it's him. Also, go back in the thread to the 2019/2020 posts and you'll see that Andy was still struggling in his parents' basement. He was desperate for money and was trying to get the McElroys to hire him to draw a comic based on their RPG sessions.

But the main reason I can't believe it is because of two things: One is that Dobson doesn't have the work ethic or professionalism to last long in a professional environment. He refuses to use reference sheets, guides, or even draw on a separate layer in photoshop. He has to do everything himself. The second is that he is a bitter, rage-filled little shit who cannot handle any negative feedback, or even positive feedback delivered in a way he doesn't like. He would get shitcanned pretty quickly.
