I don't play Genshin, but generally any mobile hero collector allows you to get any character for free if you do enough dailies or special events, even if it's a lottery-specific character. If the game does licensed IP or crossovers, they'll sometimes be cash only, but a much cheaper, more direct amount. Six hundo on random pulls is absolute retard behavior.

On the other hand, counting the hours required to actually get it "free" in terms of minimum wage or Uber rates might be funny.

You don’t need to spend it yourself, paid rolls are about $2.50 when you buy in large quantities. Pity (you just get the banner character) at 90. Odds start at .6% so assuming these characters are from the same event he had to pity roll twice.

Just so everyone knows, the majority of money in gotcha is not necessarily whales, it’s from people who are like 5 off from pity and get 15 bucks worth of rolls to reach it before the event ends (and it’s no longer guaranteed).

Freemium games breakdown into three categories: the minnow, the dolphin, and the whale.

The minnow is the free user. The company holds these users in disdain. The consumer marketing psychologists (yes, really, that's their job title) make OBSCENE WEALTH using their master's degree level of understanding on how humans work at a primitive level to try and make the minnow become a dolphin. This means any amount of money. Often times, the first buys they sell you in a mobile game are for PENNIES. Just connect your card and spend FIFTY CENTS for something that might save you an hour of grind. The minnow, until tempted into spending, is worth less than nothing to the company. They want you hook.

The dolphin are the modest spenders, but they are an important milestone. A cheapskate minnow who holds out and seriously just plays for free doesn't make money. But once that minnow spends 50 cents for a limited time, special edition, promotional product - they're in. If you spend 50 cents, why not a dollar? Why not 5? Why not 5 every week? You work, you earned it. The consumer psychologist's job is to make spending money so rewarding to the dolphins that the friction of spending more erodes, so as many dolphins as possible then progress into whales.

The whales. They're psychologically buckbroken by the game. They will spend whatever it takes to get whatever they want. So while you might have a thousand minnows earning nothing, and a hundred dolphins spending $5 a week, you might have a whale spending $500 a week. That whale is worth more than all those smaller spenders put together, and once you're spending hundreds for your loli skin, you're not going to stop. Long lived gatcha games like FEH discovered that they were progressively losing all their whales because their whales were all going bankrupt, so they started to more and more switch their focus toward courting dolphins. Less money, but more reliable since dolphins are less likely to suddenly stop paypigging you because they went bankrupt.

To be honest the Null take on Sisson is kind of bad. He didn't hide what he wanted at all. He lied in other respects but not that. In all likelihood he just picked some other girl over these ones.
