I don't think it's "le based tranny" as much as practical politics - you won't get anywhere with Tony's "all or nothing" attitude. Most normal adults understand this, which is why it's so great that self-appointed leaders like Tony and Big Al keeps pushing for "all or nothing" as it's easier to give them just that... nothing.

I had a tradesman come over yesterday to work up an estimate on a project at my house. We had a nice chat while he was here and the conversation eventually turned to our state government and politics... Democrats' support for trans stuff is so incredibly toxic to their brand, not even because pro-trans policies are even that damaging in and of themselves (trannies remain, thankfully, a tiny minority) but because it betrays a serious failure in judgement. It's like Flat Earth, in almost no situation will the shape of the Earth impact anything that someone who isn't involved in navigation or satellites will ever do, but wouldn't you freak out a bit if you found out your boss wholeheartedly (and vocally) believed that the Earth was flat? Or that he'd spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on Flat Earth activism? None of that affects you, and yet it's incredibly concerning and he'd better be pretty damn incredible at his job if he wants you to continue to respect him.
