Well, I remember reading awhile back that there was a study that didn't concur with the "gender affirming care" model for minors, but instead of releasing that study, they tried to cover it up because it would have proved they were harming children. So it's probably something like that. That's the issue, these once trustworthy institutions have been pretty much taken over by ideologues. So it's very difficult to trust them.
