Magic The Gathering

Mindsensor? That is old school...i opposition agent them
Yeah, this was back in 2017. I played a bit in middle school (I'm so old, I started playing during the Ice Age!) Fell out in high school, and much later I saw there was a game shop that opened near me. I bought some precons to get started in EDH, played some draft tourneys, but when everyone went retarded with covid I fell out again.

My lands deck runs oppo agent with demolition field and collective voyage.

Weird that MTG reddit will seethe about attractive women, but dragon sex is cool. I wish people were able to joke about all things instead of being hypocritical.

Here have a new card from the Sultai precon you can now turn your creatures into strip mines, utility lands, or mana dorks. Bloodghast becoming a fetchland is also retarded as fuck if you can give it haste.

If wotc is going all the way in on UB, I really wish we got more interesting secret lairs, or at least got another round of Frazetta. I really liked what they did but there was a missed opportunity to make a Conan card - though I imagine there would be a copyright issue. I think some of the Conan stories are due to enter public domain in a couple of years.

A buddy of mine made a few Conan cards for me

Some kind of Grave Crawler (Or something like it that's easier to cast) + Anger in the yard nonsense could be a thing.

Still blows me away how effective mana tithe works in my play groups.
Surprisingly effective how many 50c cards BTFOs the regular run of the mill player, they cannot fathom white interaction that isn't swords or path. My secret tech lately is soul tithe, everyone balls out to ramp / ritual their expensive shit as fast as possible and then can't pay for it, makes me happy every time.

Net decking was a real problem in one of my play groups for a while, with people with using 100 dollar mana rocks and proxying original duel lands. Solved that real quick by using the janky cards to counter play most of them. One of my favorites was using Naked Singularity in a five color deck that used green to ramp out basic lands to keep paying for it's cost and bear people down with my commander.

Another was a deck full of 50 cent boardwipes that targeted a wide range of card types. If I can look up your deck and see everything you're going to play before we play I can easily play cards that beat the local meta.

I built a Nikya deck as a meme, but it's win rate is through the roof. No one kills it when I play it and just let's it sit there till my next turn where I just play my stompy cards and trample them to death. Nothing messes players up recently than playing non-staple cards.

I occasionally proxy triomes, but never the original duels, nor have I already used them. We try to keep proxying to a minimum, there's no rule against it, but very few people play high level decks in this area. It's mostly casual. One guy trys to proxy the entire power nine in his Kenneth deck along with duels and still loses regularly to Astor equipment, Toxrill tribal, and Gollum deck.

My General Opinion is that the less times people get screwed by their mana base the better time everyone has and WOTC has definitively proven that they don't care about making Reserve list cards actually obtainable but are entirely willing to cash in on them with the Magic 30 Gold Bordered shit.

If WOTC is going to make 300 Dollar Proxies then I get to make 5 dollar ones.

I don't disagree with you, I just run a lot of basics in most of my decks. I tune my mana basis as I play the decks and see what works and what doesn't. The more colors I play the less I try to to play cards with multiple same color mana symbols, and play 36-38 lands depending on rocks and curve. The decks I get screwed on the most are my blue red decks. One is suspend and has a lot of high cost creatures the other because it only has 28 lands

Oh I play 37 lands in most of my decks, I just use alot more utility lands the less colors I have..if I am playing more colors I get more power just by having a higher floor of power on my Vegetable (Ramp, Draw, Removal, Boardwipe) cards.

Being able to do things like cast both Eerie Ultimatum and Ruinous Ultimatum makes up for the fact that I don't have..a utility land most of the time.

I proxied pretty heavily, mostly lands. Didn't feel like spending hundreds of dollars just to make my mana base better. I paired them with the cheap version in case anyone I was playing with was salty about it, but that never came up. Also, the group of regulars I played with before covid ruined it, I gave them all a full set of proxied duals.
