I am just a filthy happenings tourist but I seriously doubt there was actual hardware-based malware involved in this. That was never big, hasn't really be seen since the 90's, and I doubt there's something specific for his motherboard (and I doubt they are making bespoke malware for this). At a guess someone either got some regular malware on his windows install or simply convinced him they had and then got him to flash a corrupted bios which would brick the PC. I bring up merely convincing him they did because if you were able to load something on his PC there are much more ""entertaining"" possibilities like spying on the machine, introducing random failures, and just generally causing havoc. Then again cowtippers being retarded weens wouldn't surprise me either.

Regardless of how it was accomplished this does appear to be a bad bios flash and @Quandale Octavius Dingle is correct in that you need a flasher to fix it. Someone who gets tricked into a bad bios flash won't be able to do so. Those clips are finicky at the best of times.

DbD usually does deliver so it's likely. Ed hates raxx and only tolerates Sally for the cheap housing. Ed is also aware DbD doesn't send vitches to mess with the goblin nest

I wouldn't trust anything from the reddit. Too many retards thinking they are the next Marty and doing stupid shit like saying "i cant believe cyraxx hasnt found the cameras lol what an idiot".

DbD may have delivered in a primo fashion but that reddit leaves a stain and he is not exempt.

Do we know for sure if that's Dale? I wouldn't be surprised if Ed becomes an inside man. He doesn't just hate Chance, he's tired of Chance. In that one bodycam video where he's sitting on the steps near the side door, Ed sounded exhausted and defeated. If provoking his shithead step[grand]son means it will get him the fuck out of the house so he and his beloved can live in peace, so be it.

Even if this screenshot isn't real, it would still rattle Cyraxx enough to think it could be true (remember, he was retarded enough to think that "I've died and gone to heaven" was a literal phrase.) He might have been meek and nonconfrontational at school, but he's now openly hostile towards Sally ("NO!" "THANKS FOR FUCKING CARING!") and has lost any form of self control.

Yeah, there definitely wasn't any sort of hardware-based malware installed on his computer prior to the brick. That's the kind of stuff you see in nation-state level cyberattacks, if you see it at all. Whoever was recording this probably just fed him some bullshit and convinced him to flash a random BIOS file they handed him, like you said.
It does make me question the definition of malware, though. Is a BIOS file that was intentionally corrupted to brick a certain motherboard considered hardware-based malware? I'm rambling at this point. This kind of stuff is just really interesting to me.

This is just my opinion but I would say for something to be called malware it has to actually do something. I'd say "do something" means having code that is executed to perform some function. It could be replicating, exfiltrating data, interfering with other programs (like centrifuge control programs), and so on. A bad bios is probably just a file of random data with the right checksum and size which I don't think most people would call "malware". It might even just be another bios from a different motherboard model by the same vendor that they know passes the checks but will brick the board.
