Magic The Gathering

Everyone should have access to triomes, duals, shocks, surveils, fetches, or battlebond lands because all it does is increase their ability to simply play the game.
That's incorrect. We need to have rare, expensive cards to gatekeep all the good formats. This makes the game better somehow.
In all honesty, a $50 secret lair with all of those things would sell out faster than they could print them.

I just remembered Edge of Eternities is supposed to have a mythic land cycle, bet that will go well price wise.

Edit: Here is a rumored leaked card, but is not officially confirmed. If this card is real and green still can't see play than lmao, but with this and reanimation it seem like golgari or sultai would be best for stompy things

Oh I play 37 lands in most of my decks, I just use alot more utility lands the less colors I have..if I am playing more colors I get more power just by having a higher floor of power on my Vegetable (Ramp, Draw, Removal, Boardwipe) cards.

Being able to do things like cast both Eerie Ultimatum and Ruinous Ultimatum makes up for the fact that I don't have..a utility land most of the time.
I use to play a lot of five colors, but as I started playing more ramp I figured I could just do the same with less colors. I'm still trying to teach this new guy to play ramp in his dragons deck, but he just refuses because it means less dragons. Instead most games he just sits there complaining about his colors fixing or not doing anything. I hope one day he gets there.

Well, I have a deck of every color combo at various states of completion. I like the brewing process so I kept making decks >.>

My last five color was Golos gates, and once he got banned I just couldn't go back. Building to that deck was incredibly fun because gates were pretty limited at the time. I'm sure now it's easy to win with gates with all the options, but the recent gate players are treated as a threat just for setting up at the table. Thing is, I never see them play Gond gate.

Based and brewpilled, I've got the same idea to have at least one per color pair at least. We love Ravnica* in this house.
I do my best to make things all different themes so I can put in different cards (aside from certain things. Ramp and Removal have to just WORK, while I would like to put in some niche card that fits the deck better...Generous Gift just works without Hoops)

I have an arcades wall deck I play 3 alt win cons in - one of those being the maze's end-gate victory.

Yeah there are enough gates now that you can easily hit over 10 in 3 colors.

Also there are a lot of stupid good gate fetch cards. Get Gond Gate first and you are online.

I played with a weekly group on MODO, I used The Loan Programs to build different decks every week.

One of the decks I built was 4 CMC Tribal..and Almost managed a Gates win with Scapeshift...I almost lived a couple of Dreams with that deck..I ALMOST got to kick a Rite of Replication on a Siege Rhino with Panharnomicon on the field.

Man, I had ordered some cards to finish up a rakdos treasure deck (mostly so I could use a bunch of old arcade tokens I have laying around as my "treasures") and it turns out my email got lost in the aether and now I'm not gonna get any cards, very sad!

I'm almost done with a Keene gate deck with a bunch of stupid ass cards that do nothing but go looking for gates and stuff that makes them enter untapped like spelunking, archelos, and amulet of vigor, it's gonna be sick, I also just found a dark depths + thespian stage so that and commander damage will be my alt win cons.

I think Gates in commander is cringe because no one wants to run it's obvious counters (mass land destruction, repeatable land destruction) for (mostly correct) social reasons. I do think them putting a bunch of support for it in the BG set was a pretty apt place though.

So i am through part 2 of The Brothers War novel.

Do not ever let anyone tell you Urza was a badguy during these events, before Mishra burnt down Kroog Urza directly and clearly stated he hates war.

From Chapter 11

himself. Others argued that he was afraid of the brother and did not want to fight. Tawnos cut away the implications of cowardice and put the question to his master. Why had he not struck back?
Urza almost exploded. “War is a waste of resources!” he shouted. “We lost four ornithopters in that fruitless assault, and I cannot replace them until I get more power stones! Why should I waste time, gold, and precious lives in battle? To chase ghosts in the desert? Why don’t I just burn down the city and save my brother the bother?” The outburst was as surprising

Mishra also explicitly waited until he has a full squad of Dragon engines before wanting to talk peace, had his apprentice sneak in a weapon, and had his Tribal leader hide in a war wagon and lied about the War Leader being stuck meeting with other tribal leaders.

The fall of Kroog was planned from the start. Now Urza's father in law did the same thing in the first set of peace talks, however Urza's father in law died during that attempt so he paid the price for his treachery and burning down a city a year later is not a reasonable response.

You know, I've always been meaning to ask this, but in the alternative time after fate reforged, wasn't the only reason why Zurgo was left alive by Sarkhan was because he had become nothing but a bell ringer( I thought) for the Jeskai? What's he doing as a Khan again for Mardu?
