Serious question, what does Phil hope to get out of the Gunt? A fellow cow to seethe and mald about Kino like Rich was supposed to be? Does he expect Ethan Ralph to just sit there and be talked over, has he seen how Ralph behaves? This is going to end up a disaster stream one way or another and I wouldn't be too surprised if Ralph goes full retard and sees this as a way to try and get an easy W.
If this is a genuine Phil / KC breakup the answer is a bit layered.
1) At some level Phil knows that without drama his donos dry up faster than Khet outside a few whales. He’ll bitch about hating drama but KC proves he’s happy as a pig in shit when the money rolls in because of it.
2) Ralph is the enemy of his supposed now enemy. Don’t believe Phil is stupid enough not to believe Ralph isn’t trouble, but Phil IS stupid enough to believe that Ralph will only point the trouble in the direction of their mutual enemies.
3) Ralph, for all his retarded antics and self destruction, is incredibly capable of creating drama, which Phil equates to money.
4) Either Phil or someone talking to him has convinced him that Da Sektur also has its barrel of “detractors” that make money going after e-celebs and I think Phil secretly hopes that he could grift as detractor for once, which means he needs Ralph.
If my assumptions are correct this will end wildly.
My two theories that I keep pondering over.
1. This is kayfabe. PPP and Phil agreed to make an elaborate blow up because KC will make a ton of money and Phil agreed for a nominal fee. This just makes sense because why the hell would Phil do crossovers with all the people Kino Casino targets? PPP wanted to troll Phil with Steve and other fuckery but it was boring because Phil wasn’t going to blow up. Phil and Ralph is such perfect content for Kino Casino to do and they just have to smurf subs and blame it on Dents. This is Kino Casino’s “Lolcow Live.”
2. Phil really is that dumb to think if he could make money by being friends with rich trolls he can make money with trolls in their solar system, but they’re BUMS. Phil is dumb but how could he think Ethan Ralph will rake money for him when Ralph is in total poverty?
I think it’s the first option more than ever. For crying out loud the leaked DMs foreshadow this Phil was down to do a live roast and “seethe” over this but it was never going to work because Phil can’t be literally in on the joke! Also helps Phil because he’s no longer going to have to explain his bullshit to his most diehard Dents.
For the record I don’t think Ethan Ralph or Mersh are in on the joke. Even if they have a hunch they’re both so desperate they can’t say no to $150+ to do a weekly podcast.
I’m surprised no one is calling it out for being scripted I feel like I’m pulling the curtain on the Wizard of Oz. For crying out loud Phil is building “Feltron”, it’s too perfect.
I’d say this has a 50/50 chance of happening. If I believed that Phil was even the slightest bit more intelligent and tard wrangle-able I would be more inclined to see this is what’s happening and not just hope for it.
Likely it’s all real and this is just a very predictable end to a Phil collab.
On the extremely off chance that this is actually what PPP and Phil are doing:
1) If Phil were to be able to bamboozle and gayop Ralph, Mersh and Beardson (while continuing to ignore Cog) and somehow pull off some major plot twist, it would shake the foundations of a lot of what has become quite stale. Phil would have earned the respect of the alogs and likely would gain a short term small army against his enemies. (Don’t worry, they’ll get bored and he’ll fuck it up).
2) PPP, (and by proxy Andy) would have executed one of the best arcs in entertainment and lolcow jackassery by essentially creating Lolcow Civil War. From the start of this he’s gotten Keem sucked in on the periphery, RTU, Phil, Ralph, Mersh, Beardson, the dents, the detractors, the alogs, not Cog, and a handful of others all running around shifting alliances and gunning for one another.
Edit: If Phil was able to actually pull all this off, I’d say he might even get a chance at finally having his Metokur interview.
