To be fair, it’s a rec program and Ballet 3 is pretty beginner (and those kids look young, probably the first class for many).

Spoiler: Dance fever

Most of these types of studios also don’t focus on ballet in a rigorous way, more as one of several types of dance, including ballet (foundational for most others), lyrical, modern, and jazz (and maybe a few tap classes for those who care for it - oh and I see they have a jr high kick class, which is for kids who want to be on school dance teams). Looking at their videos, their “modern” looks more like lyrical, and I don’t see lyrical classes, so I’d guess it’s a pretty small school (and the advanced class videos indicate it is not a demanding school - which is ok). That lyrical/ modern style lends itself well to church performances.

For ballet, they likely get more rigorous in the upper classes/once the dancers go on toe, which is usually Ballet 5/6. (Struck bc this studio does not have levels split out above 3.) But they’re not intending to turn out serious ballerinas. Also at level 3 the kids are taking 1-3 classes/ week at most, and you don’t see real progress until/ if they start taking 4, 5, 6 or more - and based on their class listing, there aren’t even that many classes available for the upper levels, and only one of each.

Also the school only has classes held 3 days/ week, and the classes are only 30-45 minutes each, even the “advanced” classes. There are two instructors listed, one of which teaches 1 evening/ week.

This is a VERY recreational dance place.

I also note it is right in kandiyohi, 11 minutes/ 7.2 miles from Spicer, and I will forever press x to doubt on the rekietas’ supposed driving miles.

Further, classes at level 3 and above don’t start until after standard work hours.

Tl; dr: Nick is, shockingly, full of shit. Got a couple of kids heading to dance an evening or two a week. Got a kid going to real school, debate practice and competitions, and going to play rehearsals (and if he’s in school, wouldn’t practices and rehearsals be after/ at the school?). Plus he should be driving now, no? …he’s almost certainly a better driver than Nick; far more likely to be sober, too. But so mom & dad have little to do there in any case.

It's a murky area of the Farms. There are a few vids of Nick's eldest competing in "speech" competitions, and dozens of vids of his girls in dance and in church. Best not to go there.

Is it necessary to prove anything? Are these kids part of the public record?- YES. Therein lies the issue.

I try to look for evidence of a parent present or something to prove the narrative.

I will say it's bizarre, but predictable, that Nick has not locked down all the public media of his kids. He's lazy. It's not that hard. In most cases, you just check a box for the dance studio or the Christian high school to say 'no' to any dissemination of pics of your kid.
