Not to really complicate this argument but sexual maturation (both physical and mental) was also slower in the past due to a number of factors including but not limited to: Nutrition, hormones in the environment, information exposure, size of social groups, etc. It's not exactly apples to apples here in terms of X years = Y maturity. One could actually make the argument that women are entering puberty too early these days, which leads to them technically being reproductively mature while still in certain growth stages which would make the use of that maturity potentially dangerous, i.e. early teens getting knocked up. It's possible that our current abundance of resources and fuckery with the environment is causing various hormonal triggers to go out of whack, in fact they might have took even longer pre-agriculture. We just don't quite know for certain one way or another on that.

It was reasonably common for a family to marry off or at least arrange a proper suitor for a daughter as soon as she was properly of age, and what was considered "of age" varied quite a bit. However, it was also common for people to be single well into their 20s in the past as well, depending on their background, profession, social status, and so on. Hell, there were even "incels/MGTOW", a good example of them being the pioneers/colonists who crossed the Atlantic a few centuries ago, mostly low-status men who decided to leave and seek a new life elsewhere instead of suffer the conditions of their homeland.

Also of note is that even if kids as young as 7 (as used earlier) were married off for political reasons, that doesn't actually mean their spouse was fucking them at that age. Kings especially had absolute shitloads of consorts and other women that it was pretty much expected they'd be fucking, and most higher-tier nobles had access to similar if lesser swaths of women.
