same with the PS1 fad , its never gonna be based on the most high effort games of that generation, its gonna be bottom tier and stuff that aged poorly where they get their visual cues. so less Stalker and more like Bullet Witch , Sonic 06 or whatever.
It is purely set dressing and better off not knowing. The gameplay comes first it seems.
PS2 era graphics seem plausible but i have my doubts these easy mode devs can pull it off correctly. PS1 is easy for them to make a comfort zone plus it's extremely trendy.

Since there's more chance the tranny dev sees this post than somewhere else I'd put my review here, and just say the game sucks balls. Main issue is that the game is a shit metroidvanina, biggest case is that it has areas with blue vines that look like the usual "need ability to climb vines ability" so I just ignored areas with them, only to discover later you are meant to the vines and just climb around. So doing it missed a powerup that makes platforming a lot easier and instead somehow made through 95% of the game with incredibly difficult precise jumps, wasting my fucking time until I looked at a guide and found it out. Also the final battle and ending suck balls.
On the topic of trannies moving on to 7th gen/late 2000's game graphics and artstyle: I don't think it will happen.

You can actually tell what is going on just by screenshots. Even after playing Cruelty Squad the style is trying too hard to the point it's an eyesore which if that is the point maybe don't make that point with something that is a visual medium. The fact that i can see what is happening alone in the game makes me slightly interested.

In all seriousness, seems like it was made with more sincerity and attention than cruelty squad which looked to be 75% shit that Ville thought was funny or easy to do in a project he did to learn a new language and engine, I'll have to pirate it later.
