Incorrect, most popular skins have nothing to do with military or the general mil-sim aesthetic. You're right about the franchise slowly becoming more homosexual with MW2, and I mean that literally. For some odd reason, Asians became obsessed with R34 of Ghost, Soap, Price and even MacMillan(50+ year old dude in a ghillie suit) having gay sex with each other, and that's nearly 20 years before the franchise actually became popular with SFM gooners. Ever since MW2 COD Yaoi has been a thing, and it's been a disaster for the franchise since.

I guess I didn't take that into consideration but that's still the kind of cynical trend-chasing I expect from CoD multiplayer. Still it doesn't disprove the point that CoD players just want mindless shooty shooty and barely give a shit about the campaign.
Speaking for myself, I don't mind CoD's campaigns. My favorites off the top of my head would be MW2, Black Ops, and MW3. Take this what you will, but I'm finding myself playing single player games more than trying to play multiplayer.

Multiplayer hasn't been immersive since AW in 2014 when they added in clown suits. Misty, on the other hand, is part of Zombies mode where story and immersion is important. You are comparing two completely different things, might as well say that it wouldn't matter if they trooned out Price in the next Modern Warfare game because the game has Snoop Dogg in it.

I hated Advanced Warfare's multiplayer. Hopping to and fro with jetpacks with CoD's twitch gameplay was miserable as hell.
