That's awesome. This was the exact therapy I did, and it helped a lot. Trust me, if you stick with it you're going to come out of it so much better. Once you can learn to start challenging your thoughts and seeking the sense and 'proof' behind them it starts becoming a lot easier to just ignore every thought that pops in your head.

"Can I prove that this thing I'm feeling strongly about actually happened, or am I just exaggerating it/imagining it". Just stick with it, trust me.

Take it slowly, too, and don't sweat it if things aren't changing/improving rapidly. You'll have to use a lot of the tools deliberately and it's going to feel like you're forcing yourself to use them, but just do it until it starts to feel natural and before you know it you won't even be thinking about it. In my own case it took about two years before I was ready to slow down and stop my sessions.
