The Curious Case of @Fascist Kirk - Or, Why I Hate Stickers and People Who Care About Them

So what's the point? Is he degrading the conversation? Is he presenting a risk to the site? Is this just funny lolcow behavior to laugh at? Why does this matter?

Reactions: Fascist Kirk
Y'know, when Josh first disabled all sticker notifications (like a year ago or something like that?) I was initially annoyed. But now I get it: it's conditioning your brain to see approval and validation. Eventually you start refreshing at fixed intervals, just to see in anyone's given you that precious bump of dopamine. Discord started doing the same thing: you get alerts on the mobile app every time someone reacts to your post. Think I'll turn them off for now, save for when someone actually replies to my posts. It's more peaceful that way.
The problem with turning stickers off is that every petulant retard who disagrees with you and requires the final say will either DM you or sperg on your profile
