Of course, the SA DnD discussion is in full support of ragging on this woman. "Having her husband killed in combat doesn't excuse her shit opinion of becoming a puppet for TRUMP!"

Where's all the white jacket suffragette people sticking up for THIS woman? Oh yeah, that's right, she doesn't share their viewpoint so fuck her, I guess.

Then again, maybe she does share their viewpoint, but because she accepted the invitation to be there, and because the President talked about her husband's service....FUCK HER STILL!

Gotta love the Social Justice Double Standard.
How cynical have we gotten to where a heartfelt salute to a dead Navy SEAL and his grieving family is being called a manipulative act by Trump? For God's sake, she's coping over the loss of her husband and these people have the gall to call her Trump's puppet. That's just plain sickening.

I actually felt like Trump was pandering a bit with this, but playing devil's advocate. He IS commander in chief of the US military. The death of a navy seal has fewer degrees of separation than any of the people Bern mentioned, and Trump is directly involved with what other seals are going to be getting up to over the next few years. Pandering or not, it's probably nice being in the navy and having your new boss be like "Hope you don't die but I'll at least tell your wife we appreciate it".

Also in the interest of equal shade being tossed around, it seems like Bernie was just listing dark skinned people he knew died and bitching that the lady was white. And his last line wasn't a question, so it reads like a rising voiced REE.

What was there to gain from her being there? Trump already won the election and had other valid speaking points that were widely approved. He invited her because he wanted her there. He even attended the SEALs funeral unannounced, not because he had to as President, but because it was the right thing to do.

I think some you need to take a step back here. The navy seal's wife thing was pandering, straight up. Does that make Trump a monster? No, and the salt it's resulting in is hilarious, especially since every politician has done something like it, they all do it all the time. But acting like it's Trump being noble, or talking about people not honouring the soldier, is crazy. Imagine if Clinton was president, would you be defending her if she did it? Most people here would call it pandering, and some people here would even get shitty at her for it I bet.

Jeff Sessions is a senator and an experienced lawyer, this is going to be a fruitless witch hunt that brings up much salt among the regulars imo.

I've met Bernie a couple of times. I like the guy. But if mentioning dead white dudes divides the country, how, exactly, does mentioning Indians or black dead people unite? His statement is equally as divisive as Trump's and I'm not sure why he believes he's sitting on the higher ground.
