I'm so glad I decided to not watch this latest dishing of ponyslop from what's been said ITT about it. I clicked on it just after premiere and saw the nature of the comments and that it used some Marina and the Diamonds song. I immediately closed the tab. Tamers is pandering to quite possibly the worst audience. I imagine them to be 14 year old girls with stringy/greasy hair who wear cardboard animal masks prancing around on all fours calling themselves 'therians'. Tamers is still making SU; but it now stands for Steven Universe.

One thing I realized after having watched the recent slop is that if I were in Tamers' shoes right now, I would be inclined to pander to the mlp crowd as well considering my channel got nuked and I pretty much have to start from zero all over again, especially considering how it's my main source of income. Maybe I'm just huffing copium though, people have the capacity to change for better and worse. On top of it all I saw on Xitter that he's planning on making more content of the gay nigger knife rape ponies and I'm not sure I can tolerate more of that.

Tamers hasn't recovered the numbers he had pre-termination, which used to be in the triple digit range. As a result of the termination, the contents and comments of videos from people who don't like his content(there's a decently-sized secondary body of videos of people reacting to his vids), as well as the numberfag spiraling, has probably done irrevocable damage to his psyche. It's likely no coincidence that the videos post termination have been odd even for pony standards, as he tries to find his footing in the midst of coping with the fact that over a decade of his life's work was erased overnight. He's trying to figure out, with mixed success, how to recover his prior audience after having most of his casual fans disappear while a disproportionate number of the insane ones remain.

If I was forced to armchair-analyze Tamers, I'd assume he's just not accustomed to such a huge audience. Sonic Underground is truly "underground" and always has been, whereas the brony stuff is a much larger fandom who have (as far as I've seen) been waiting around for a savior, since the brony fandom lives and breathes fan content. I just don't think the channel getting deleted is some huge setback considering his history. Unless he comes out and says otherwise, I think the bigger issue is he's accumulated too many fans who want very different things. There's also the problem of bronies having a huge population of moralfags (kind of like the soyjak retards who mass-reported his channel; they're basically the same) which means any Sonic Underground content as we know it will flashbang them.

I'm not saying these people are important, but they have an audience (just read the video's comment section) and are loud. If Tamers scans for feedback on whatever he's making he is bound to come across these people. Will this convince him to start sanitizing what he makes? You could argue he kind of has, if the lack of jokes and overemphasis on melodrama is any indication.

Sure, but he's a massive numberfag, as he's said in the interview some months ago(you can go back 20 pages if you want to find it). In his own words, he loves the fact that his pony content got shitloads of views. His means of getting those numbers got nuked in the first instance where he was getting meaningful attention. I doubt he was getting a hundred thousand views on any of his deviantart posts. There's also the patreon, where his donors went from a nice side hustle to full time salary type of income. Getting his channel deleted disrupts his means of distributing those videos as for the most part, his patreon isn't where he uploads videos.

Edit: Upon further consideration, I agree with your main point that he's accumulated too many fans that want different things. I would add the stipulation that post-channel nuking, the ones that remain are disproportionately obsessive and vocal, which negatively affects his content quality

I mean he was on Deviantart back during its heyday, and we all know what crazy shit got (and still gets) posted on there on a regular basis. To be fair, it's not him changing to ponies that is the main issue, but that he changed his style. The first couple of pony vids were hilarious but eventually this shipping faggotry became prevalent.
