At least people who are single but sleep around a lot aren't lying to themselves or others about the situation and aren't trying to drag someone into toxic dynamics. They're putting off having a potentially fulfilling life with another person for hollow distractions but at least the worst that often happens is them being lonely or finally settling down and saying they wished they'd gotten started with that sort of life sooner.
