Ma'am. I swear on my whole Bionicle collection, that Feline copyright law does exist. There was a major fiasco when the original Cats, the musical, was released. Unfortunately the rerelease in theatre's found a loophole in the laws which has now been written out which allowed it to release.

Why do you think Garfield the Cat? Or Tom the cat from Tom and Jerry are so well known? Cat copyright laws. The Cat in the Hat? Well, Dr. Seuss couldn't get his characters Feline copyright authorized in time, so that's why his name is more of a descriptor.
