Nick aimed to indulge himself as much as possible before age 55. In late December 2022 Nick claimed that he had "14 good years left" at age 41 to be "degenerate as FUCK" and that he was going to "do all of it", and yes, that is the same shirt from his 2024 mugshot:

Nick was visibly shaking and coming down from a confessed MDMA high and his only bid for sympathy was repeating a weak "...guys... I'm 41..." throughout. His main gripes at the time are not with life being short so much as with other people telling him what (not) to do.

Nick has flip-flopped on the personal impact of his worst day over time. To this day, Nick's suicide baiting seems more performative and played for emotional leverage/sympathy (like how Nick beats himself in the head when upset or confronted, or Aaron's recent account of April threatening to cut herself).

I think Rickety Rackets the Rail King checked out of his family when his YouTube career started picking up steam. I’m thinking sometime in 2020, maybe earlier. I remember seeing a video (2020-21?) where Our Wife gifted him a big painting of some drink bottles. I thought at the time it was sweet but in hindsight it feels different. Feels like our wife is trying to include herself in the new life the Wet-Brained Wonder made in his basement coom dungeon.

If I’m right about the motivation, then I assume he checked out of her life and the kids’ life before that point. Emotionally he’s out and physically I assume he’s doing the bare minimum he was bragging about on streams.
