Are we all in agreement that the only reason the podcast hasnt been dropped is because it’s a vehicle for Anna to talk about her favorite topic: herself ?
Remember that Anna doesn't do anything resembling work, or stick with anything she doesn't enjoy unless she's getting paid well for it (or can expect a big payday eventually). Podcasts generally don't start gaining real traction until there's at least 8-12 episodes in the can, and they need time and a consistent release schedule to build up an audience in order to attract sponsors. Anna knows this.
If somebody else has put up the money to launch this podcast, she may be contractually obligated to create a certain number of weekly episodes within a given amount of time. If she's the one financing it as part of a major shift in branding, she has strong motivation to see it through until her audience builds and the sponsorship money starts rolling in.
I do believe she's a lot sicker than she lets on, so her days as a fashion, fitness, and travel influencer are over; and that she's making the switch to rebranding herself as an expert on getting diagnosed and living with lipedema and other chronic illnesses. She's always wanted to be looked up to as motivational and inspiring, and to be seen as an expert, and this is the means she still has left to her.
Yes, Anna loves talking about herself; yes, that makes her a shitty interviewer; yes, Dr. Nance could be replaced at any time and nobody would miss her; but I think the main reasons Anna's sticking with this podcast are a contractual obligation that forces her to, and because if it succeeds she will still be able to make a very comfortable living despite her declining health and mobility.
