It’s also pointless. How you age is a function of how you take care of your body from the inside, sun/IV/smoke/ sugar/booze and genetics. If you’re pale, get sun but don’t burn, wear a hat, wear sunscreen. Eat well, have a very basic skincare routine along the lines of clean and moisturise. Nothing else or further will do much to stop or delay ageing. You WILL age faster if you’re unprotected in the sun all day and you will age faster if you’re abusing your body but you will NOT age slower skin wise by putting fifty fucking products on a day and spending an hour before you go out in terror that you may not look perfect.. It may look smoother but that’s temporary.
It’s just a waste of your time, money, effort and capacity to worry. By all means buy that nice moisturiser that smells good, and that nice lipstick if you’re into it but this idea that everyone has to be red carpet perfect constantly is grim. Men are not doing more than washing their faces and brushing their hair before they leave the house. If you’re clean, neat and professionally dressed if you need to be that is fine.
marketing is VERY good at picking apart female worry and neurosis. Making women think that unless they’re doing some complex, effort sapping routine for everything (and it’s not just makeup, it’s clothes and shoes and behaviour) then they’re unfit to be in public.

She doesn’t swan in and girl boss the mostly male crew, she asks where she can be useful loading missiles in the mech suit and is accepted as a useful member of the crew without antagonising people - she’s a competent, useful crew member and is accepted as such.

The Valkyrie thing only works with the sort of fantasy setting like superhero movies (which are also dross.) it’s just LAZY writing. There's a video online I watched a while ago, wish I could remember the creator -maybe the critical drinker? He points out how hollow the whole girlboss Hollywood trend is, pretending women are a physical match for men (personally I blame tranny culture for this, as we are all supposed to pretend there is no difference therefore trannies can compete with women cos muh gender feelz). The example he uses is Sarah Connor, who is a boss but uses her smarts to work her way through the world, escaping the mental hospital by holding a nurse hostage with a hypodermic needle in a much more realistic way than just beating up all the men. Smarts, skill, ingenuity, something that is realistic and the qualities are still admirable.

Personally, my big fuck-off of the last decade is "Karens".
