Yeah, but apparently we're also an part of her therapy group, whether we like it or not. But hey, at least she lasted an bit longer, this time
That's unironically a good thing through. Something they'll ask you at intake for therapy is a list of people you're close to who you can talk to. They'll make sure to ask every now and then how the people you tell them about are doing to try to keep you from being a shut-in.
Inb4 she goes "liking donuts doesnt make me fat stop projecting"
Loving doughnuts makes me fat.
Bpd isn't really curable. The medicine is really supplemental to the therapy part. But it lessens in most cases with age as havers develop coping mechanisms and skills and experience living. Most people agree that they see/feel improvement around late 20's and some studies have 40 year old with essentially no symptoms at all. Considering the BPD urge to 🗑 it's really a game of hanging in there.

Yeah, it's not so much 'curing' it or getting rid of it, it's more about learning how to live with it. Like, live and have a life. The goal is to develop coping strategies to use when it does come up. I talk about something similar in a thread on depression here.
I like the way you put this, and for anybody out there who's dealing with chronic depression (this is my experience), this is something you slowly learn to come to terms with. There will be some things that happen that bring it out, and the journey becomes less about how to stop it from happening period, but how to manage the feelings, and to just generally anticipate them. You learn to live with it, and by 'live' I mean to actually live and have a life. That little voice is always going to be there somewhere, but you get better and better at working through it and not letting it direct what you're doing.

I'm just glad she's actually sticking with it and is calmer in general lately. Her stress tolerance seems higher than it used to be, and she seems to play fight with people here more.

, or will she keep assuring us that her bathtub, in fact, does not post in this thread.
I can confirm that her bathtub had recently filed a legal complaint about being used by as a toilet, which is well outside of it's job description.

Last I heard, that it was seeking $100 as compensation for it's emotional trauma and mental healthcare bills.
