No, the PC is fine, but the it has a known defective/malfunctioning CPU. In layman's terms the CPU literally starts to burn once it hits a certain temperature or voltage, which puts a strict upper limit on its lifespan.

It took them a few updates for them to apparently correct the issue; but every device that was sent out obviously didn't have the patch applied; and most system integrators (people who sell pre-mades) often just let devices sit in warehouses and then ship them out.

Kind of. The update is just a mitigation; it's a hardware defect so there's no true "fix" for it. Like I said in the GP, Phil's CPU settings would just override the fixes entirely and it would've been pointless. He's fucked in the long term.

My tinfoil hat theory is Phil is stringing along whichever D-list nobodies that will give him attention into coming on to Smark Guys to boost the interest after PPP dumped him, playing these guest spots are "trials" meanwhile he's planning to axe the show regardless.
