I'm not exaggerating to say I struggle to comprehend this. It's like a society having developed nuclear power without having discovered the wheel. Or a modern citizen in a developed nation just stop in the street to do a rain dance because they forgot to water their lawn that morning. The juxtaposition of American not having mastered these things against its wealth and institutions is just hard to get my head around. Like, are you a Third World country or a First World? When will you make up your minds?
We actually do have semi-automated income tax filing, but the deal is that private companies started providing it not long after the internet became commercialized, so there's no need for a federal system when TaxAct and TurboTax work fine, and everybody knows that a system built and run by Washington would be dog shit.
The deal with voting is something Europeans continue to fail to grasp over and over and over again, and that thing is niggers. They're 13%-15% of the country. I suppose your inability to understand niggers is why there was so little opposition to importing them (both regular and sand) en masse, but now you are discovering the hard way what America has known since Reconstruction. When your country has a large portion of niggers in it, a significant amount of your politics revolves around keeping the nigger vote.
The way this connects to the voting system is that niggers are stupid, lazy, and criminal. Their inability to show up on time or do anything reliably is legendary. As you might imagine, this means that they don't relaly vote reliably. Consequently, the way the Democrats get the nigger vote is through election fraud. Nigger districts frequently show close to 100% turnout. Most areas have 50%-65% turnout, but no, not nigger areas, they're always 90%-100%. Somehow, the race that is singularly unable to show up for a McDonald's shift on time has the highest Election Day hit rate in the country.
Now, figure that niggers are around 10% of registered voters, vote 95% Democrat, and the Democrats typically win elections by 1%-3%, and now you see that the political fortunes of an entire party would collapse if we had secure elections in this country. Consequently, we can't have secure elections. Since you typically need 2/3 to get anything out of the Senate, Democrat Senators will block any meaningful election security measure. Democrat judges will also claim such measures are implicitly racist because they affect blacks more than whites (which is true) and deem them unconstitutional under the 14A.
On top of that, if you upset niggers too much, you lose the white vote. That copypasta about America worshiping niggers isn't that far off. It's not just a libtard thing, lots of conservatives think MLK Jr was a modern saint, and your status of a good person depends on how kind and generous you are to niggers. So back when I think the Bush administration started doing some serious moves against election fraud, they found such shocking levels of it in Baltimore and Philadelphia (nigger cities) that they realized doing anything would result in the bad optics of hauling lots and lots of prominent nigger politicians to jail, which would in turn hurt them with white Republican voters.
This is just one of many, many things in American government that bewilders Europeans and comes down to, "because we have lots of niggers, and you don't." If you import enough of the savage races to your country, eventually, various institutions and even regions of the country will become awfully Third World-y, while the parts the white people run for themselves will be First World.
