The Charity

One suggestion for the financial services section: you should mention the term "de-risking" which is the smokescreen word for debanking. Maybe say something like "Fighting against arbitrary account closures and financial censorship under the pretense of 'de-risking' ."

They must be reigned in.
- Should be "reined" in, like a horse

imporant
- Typo

unmitigated Internet connections
- I think some other word would be better here than "unmitigated

I like the emblem, I hope you ordered custom rubber stamps with it, they would be simply ecstatic.

Also, the website seems to block newsletter registrations from TOR nodes, giving a 403 forbidden. Not sure if that's intentional, or really worth looking into atm.

Are you considering archives and media preservation as part of the priorities? Sites like Wayback Machine, archive.today, GhostArchive, PreserveTube, etc. It's probably related but not central to the copyright/DMCA issue.

I'm not sure what the status is in the US for actual archive sites. The recent Internet Archive case seems like a chiller, and they're the most US-compliant archive site since they take down anything if you just ask them. IIRC they were relying on a library defense without operating like a proper library. The laws regulating archives don't seem to match up to what an electronic archive is, and they haven't been updated to handle the DMCA process. Some of the others sites seem to stay up only because they're hosted in jurisdictions that don't care.

Since IA cucked to Yonah Bex during DropKiwiFarms and blocked the site, it seems like a bad idea to let IA be the sole voice arguing for that kind of preservation. They're already raising awareness and getting support from people like Louis Rossman and EFF, so you wouldn't be breaking totally new ground.

Not really, but especially not public ones, not unless you consider our ambitions to reduce the DMCA mafia.
Its a stretch goal, but consider what the "Digital Justice Foundation" did to you. If this project really does take off, you can absolutely do the reverse. As our dear overlords have made abundantly clear, the law is a living a thing. And it needs to be fed. Money.

@Null, have you considered organizing a leaflet campaign in rich conservative areas? Boomers would be appalled if they knew the level of censorship and bank deplatforming that happen to young right wingers. Though, they'll never know about these modern issues unless it was put in front of their face, physically.

But consider what they'll think when they learn about Null's Jew finger necklace. Methinks the Boomers won't sympathize with him after that.

Boomers are stupid, I would know, selling stupid shit to them is my job. They'd never do any research on the issue or the people organizing. They will just believe the pamphlet and complain on Facebook, which would still help boost this issue into the mainstream by a lot. Consider how boomers can be so fervent towards political figures they know nothing about.

Does anyone have experience with any of these or any other alternative? I am thinking about how I want to drive engagement to support bills.

my personal advice would be to spend the sheckles and get a professional writer to draft your mission statement for you. That will be the most read part of any platform and it needs to be 100% perfect for your organization to have any real impact. Have it clearly delineate exactly what your organization's goals, methods, leadership and impact will be.

Once you've got your mission statement it's easy to copy/paste it everywhere and you can always buy some drones to spam it everywhere online for more exposure.

The sad fact is your going to face a lot of push back from your fanatic admirers so you need to come off a 100% professional and focused for people to start donating. No Dong can hit up his rich progressive pals for money and support while you will have to focus more on grassroots support as the wealthy elites are really your biggest opponent.

Update: A bunch of filings and applications that had been pending are all sent through now. Hardin was having a huge problem with the IRS website but we finally got it all submitted. Then I got banking set up and and an application for a non-profit specialized payment processor sent in.

So, honestly, I'm at a loss. I don't have the clout to do anything about this and the organization I'm making to gain the clout in order to try and persuade the government to protect financial rights can't be banked, so I can't raise money, so I can't even effectively petition the government. I feel this rises to the level violation of fundamental human rights at this point, and there's nothing to be done about it.

If it is truly a human rights violation, file a lawsuit as such. It's worth a shot man. Nothing else has gotten them to listen. You might say it's hopeless. I say, give it a try. It only takes one win to get your life back. Is that not what your organization is for? Getting fair financial services? Set up a fundraiser. You will get your money to wage this war.
