The Studio Ghibli Meme Gallery - Using OpenAI 4 to convert popular memes into weeb drawings

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Too bad there is nothing that can run locally to get similar results. So far, everything I tried cant compare. I suppose it would help if I knew what I was doing.
This is the best I ever got but there is no trace of the original picture.

I've only experimented a bit myself but there are these things called LORAs which are trained to do particular things, you'd need to find a Ghibli one.

Amazing to see the day where I can just attach picture after picture and demand "ghiblify this" of my personal shitposting slave.

I have Ghibli LORAs and Checkpoints. It's the controlnet that's giving me the most trouble. The results have the general "shape" of the original but loses everything else. It does not achieve the "Ghiblification" effect desired.

Not a meme, but I didn't know where else to put this

This isn't stealing commissions because the average person, including Tyson, wouldn't spend $40 on a custom disposable art piece like this. The only reason Mike had this made was because it was free.

It's a cute little throw away gimmick like those iPhone filters that turns your face into a cat or whatever.

Mike Tyson is also very much NOT a Billionaire, as evidenced by his willingness to let Jake Paul, 30-something years his junior, wail on him for a paycheck last year.

Its crazy how all that anti-AI stuff completely died out once people learned you can make anime versions of pictures.

Beyond that, its crazy how artists working on comisssions have been destroyed because of this. Hell it won't be much longer before entire films are made from AI that are actually good instead of shitty and offputting.

Like think about how long it would have taken Studio Ghibli to even animate a 15 second commercial, they did a new drawing for every frame so that makes 400 drawings, easily taking the manpower of hundreds of people weeks to accomplish, and now any asshole can knock it out in seconds on their fucking phone.

its also crazy how many seemingly niche studios it knows by name. being able to go "in the style of X anime" is pretty amazing. but i do feel sad that anyone can basically make their own version of anyone's drawings now. like i could make my own versions of @svenstoffels animations now
anyone done one for russian pulp fiction? (Dead man's bluff)
you calling for reinforcements?

If AI can actually make cohesive animations that don't look like smeared fucken watery meshes of frames atop another, then that's how you know it's beyond over for artcels. But as it stands, I'm still not impressed by any AI "cartoons" and we are 3 years into the AI "menace".

Facts.
If I want to have a actual piece of art made for something like a gift, I'll commission an artist.
I've never once even considered commissioning an artist for a shitpost. Not once. The "equivalent product" for AI shitposts is photoshop and MS-paint, not a human being.
It's a waste of time and money to ask someone to make something stupid you can make yourself, and also, having it be something you make yourself is part of the appeal.

GOTCHA, OLDFAGS.

The anti-AI stuff is still going hardcore on Bluesky. The Ghibli seething is off the charts.

I've never viewed digital art as, well, art. Even photography in the era of Photoshop is a bit suspect. Sure, they both take talent but there's no permanence you get with a sketch on a piece of paper or paint on canvas.
