Well, crap state of things this is. Sorry to hear about this. But I take solace in knowing we're doing the right thing as it is. I'd we rather piss in the ocean than not at all.

Wish I could tell you what to do, but I can't. How do other sites like the Chans and other sites like that handle stuff like this?

Russian banks had to set up their own payment processing systems because the west blacklisted them post-2022. With the current US/Russia talks going on, Russia's financial sector may soon be able to reintegrate with the rest of the global market. But they are almost certainly going to maintain their domestic payment processors so they can't get rug-pulled again. Maybe the answer is to just wait for the Ukraine dog and pony show to come to an end and the embargoes lifted, and you can apply with those Russian payment processors? Hell, you could probably apply now so it's all set up and ready to go, and then just wait till the embargoes are lifted and then start asking for donations?

Maybe a Chinese or Japanese one would work, but I'm not touching Russian anything. I would actually need a contact in JP/CN to do that though.

For most of them they just have an ATM run by a 3rd party in the store, you get your cash then buy your weed. (Or this is how I understand it to be.)

These are basic payment processors run by reputable banks for the average Russian citizen/business cause Visa/Stripe et al blocked all payments. This isn't some shady high risk stuff that may or may not be run by the Russian mob. Or are you more worried about it not looking good in the IRS's eyes for the charity to be using a Russian payment processor? I wouldn't trust a CN processor personally, but you may be onto something with applying for a JP one. Language and potential legal barriers will be a problem, but if that's seemingly your only option then it's time to start making the steps.

Correct, and actually it's currently illegal for a registered agent to provide services to any corporation with Russian ties, which is how they got Lolcow LLC into a defunct state during #DKF when we used a Russian DDoS mitigator for less than 1 day.

Payment processors follow US banking laws, even if you're using foreign money.
For example: back in 2021, I lost access to PayPal for purchasing Cuban coffee that was imported into Australia.
Unlike the USA, Australia does not have an embargo on Cuba. This was Australian money being used, but it broke US trading law and the transaction was cancelled and my account frozen.
