Texan here, this would just be Deadly Conduct (Unlawful brandishing of a firearm) which is just a misdemeanor.

Is pardoning frauds and crooks based when your side does it or is it still cringe regardless of politics?
The ideal answer would be that it's the wrong thing to do but depending on the person and context some people may disagree with that. In the particular case of Trevor Milton he's an opportunist with a good chance to go on to scam again. Would've been preferable to see him in prison but if he tries to make a company like Nikola another time it's going to be a "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" situation.

I wouldn't think so, displaying a deadly weapon during an assault is a class 2 felony. The swerving at him was the assault, and the gun out the display. 'exhibits' doesn't take much at all usually.

(a) A person commits an offense if the person commits assault as defined in § 22.01 and the person:

(1) causes serious bodily injury to another, including the person's spouse; or
(2) uses or exhibits a deadly weapon during the commission of the assault.

-- He might be able to Jew it down, but any high profile thing like this I doubt he gets less than a felony.

My nigga, Florida rests on flooded limestone caves, and regularly plays Russian roulette with one of the largest natural events on Earth. "foundation issues" kek, the fact you can buy insurance for a house in the Tampa Bay flood zone is just fraud.

I changed my mind on issues like this, while stoned at 3am, smoking a cig before jumping in the car to run to Deltona.
I was squinting trying to read one of these signs from the ground-

(Storm surge warning sign, Google image search from a weather channel video)
Beyond the sign was a tract of McMansions worth at least a billion dollars.
ironically enough sinkholes are like, barely even in the top ten of bullshits they claim when they fuck you over insurancewise
basically Florida's approach to sinkholes is covering our ears and going LALALALALA I CANT HEAR YOU JUST SAND SAND SAND NOTHING BUT SAND

Every single story I've seen on local news of people pulling guns during road rage incidents they always get charged with deadly conduct, which the statute actually covers shooting at the other vehicle as well and it's strict liability unlike Assault which requires them to prove intent.

Texas Penal Code - PENAL § 22.05. Deadly Conduct
(a) A person commits an offense if he recklessly engages in conduct that places another in imminent danger of serious bodily injury.

(b) A person commits an offense if he knowingly discharges a firearm at or in the direction of:

(1) one or more individuals; or

(2) a habitation, building, or vehicle and is reckless as to whether the habitation, building, or vehicle is occupied.

(c) Recklessness and danger are presumed if the actor knowingly pointed a firearm at or in the direction of another whether or not the actor believed the firearm to be loaded.

(d) For purposes of this section, “building,” “habitation,” and “vehicle” have the meanings assigned those terms by Section 30.01.

(e) An offense under Subsection (a) is a Class A misdemeanor. An offense under Subsection (b) is a felony of the third degree.

I also recall there was some game website's infobabe in the actual game itself, and this was never really disclosed or talked about how having someone who's meant to be covering and reviewing your content in a non-biased manner is now part of the product.
It was Jessica Chobot of IGN, and it was absolutely talked about at the time as sleazy and bad practice.

You aren't paying for their groceries. The government stealing from you isn't directly related to the government giving out goyslop bucks.
The money the government is stealing from me is at least partially funding the goyslop bux. Truthfully I would like to see the government stop stealing my money at all but taxation has somehow wormed it's way into the American psyche as being the mark of a civilized society.

You have to have a government. You have to fund that government somehow.
