There is so much going on here with both Styx and Razor. My God, it is amazing how clear their appeasing, hand waving bullshit was. I don't have any real sympathy for losers like Baked Alaska but Razor and Styx were trying to be a part of an in-crowd the whole time. Jim silently knew the answer. JFK is a Catholic US President who had lukewarm support for the Civil Rights movement; his VP LBJ signed the Civil Right Act into law after he died. Lutherfist made pedo jokes about Catholic priests in the past and has openly stated his support of the Confederacy which enslaved black people and launched their rebellion because they wanted to keep enslaving black people. The end stage of Neo-Liberalism has created a two-tiered economy that prices most people out of owning property, where rents are ridiculous and cost of living takes a higher percentage of people's pay packet than it ever has. Europe is preparing for a coming war that is likely to become a world war if it does happen. Opioid deaths in the West look like they are going to overtake heart disease as a leading cause of death. Education is failing, people are getting stupider, jobs are getting downgraded to part time and the corporate class want to fill those newly created part time jobs with freshly imported Jeets and not you. We have the highest amount of lead in human beings than any other point in history (due to decades of leaded fuel pumping that shit into the atmosphere and India and China churning it out into the atmosphere because of both shitholes having pratcically unregulated industries) and most people have a lot of microplastics in our system fucking with our hormones and reducing fertility. These things aren't political opinion, these things are objective fact.
Yet with all these issues, and problems, that do need addressing, a single man about to turn forty with no children of his own is more concerned about what puppets may be teaching children. And instead of either watching the show to see if this is true, or just encouraging parents to teach the children themselves after turning off the TV, he's spending hours arguing online that we should gulag Elmo and do what Stalin did to Yezhov with Snaffleupagus.

Then in that case, Baldur's Gate 3 and many classic RPGs like Mass Effect and Dragon Age would also count as "propaganda", because they preached about racial acceptance and had gay romances. Some games like Fallout 2 even branded conservative, patriotic Americans as evil. Yet all you get from Danny-boy on the matter aside from praise is cricket noises and silence.

If anything, the PS2 was the exact opposite. It was back then when gaming was still innovative and experimental. By the time the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360 rolled around, gaming was more predictable and more formulaic, following certain paths set by trendsetters instead of blazing their own.
Razor continuing to call that machine a "shovelware machine" goes to show that he's a cultural Phillistine when it comes to gaming. Which then leads me to this:
He's one of the few people who treats games the same way people treat politics. "X is on my side ergo, X is right, Y is the side I disagree with, so everything they do is bad." Most gamers I know would try to get multiple machines so they can get the best from the PC, Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo. I followed suit. I just didn't understand why Razor was so dead-set on hating one side while excusing all the faults of the other, until I compared it to his politics and it all clicked for me.
Razor lambasted Sony while defending Microsoft's used games policy for the XBone. Razor called First Descendant "Spiritually Caustic" while defending Baldur's Gate 3 despite the fact that it was as degenerate as Sodom and Gomorrah. Only someone viewing things from a very politicized lens would act this way; excusing all the faults of Microsoft and DnD-style RPGs while blasting Sony and Asian games that have light fanservice.
Notice how Razor came out at the tail end of that fad; after the AVGN, Spoony, Angry Joe, and the Nostalgia Critic blazed that path of the angry reviewer becoming the hot new thing on the web. Far from being a trendsetter like Doug Walker or James Rolfe, Daniel Harris is just following trends. The action movie hero shit from the 80s. The skeptic fad from the late 2000s. (He was an atheist/agnostic back then) The heavy metal aesthetics and the swearing like a sailor to project an image of a hardcore dude. Everything about him is just tailor-made to look tough, which is why when he breaks and runs from the enemy, he looks like a joke.
The fucker thinks that a "fat chance" and a "slim chance" are the same thing. Boy, would that get him in trouble if he got unlucky. If told that he has a slim chance of failure, he might take that as a surefire declaration of success, only for his face to plant on the ground when he does fail, since a slim chance, like you said, still denotes the possibility of it happening.
It's like when you tell a general that there's a slim chance the enemy might penetrate his defenses, as opposed to there being a fat chance that the enemy might slip through his defenses. With the latter, he's home free, with the former, he might get routed or killed if the enemy is lucky.
If there's one constant about Razor, it's his "Americanism" and his cultural xenophobia. He worshiped at the altar of 80s action movies and French comics, yet hated damn near everything Japanese save for a few examples. Even his "Christianity" is just aping American Protestantism at its worst, hence why he made fun of Catholic priests for being pedos and he whined about Protestant churches having women preachers, when Protestantism as a whole had mostly surrendered on that front and only Catholicism and Orthodoxy still maintain the ban on female clergy.

At least an atheist Randian being a selfish twat made sense; they don't believe in God and they believe selfishness is the way to go. All three consoles of the 6th generation had shovelware games left and right. But even the slop games had some innovative ideas, and the AAA games were genuinely good, as opposed to today, where the AAA games are either slop or derivative.
